2 February 2020 - Angelic Protection from the Deadly Pestilence - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

The world is afraid because of the Wuhan novel coronavirus, but the angels that are watching all our ways are more than the viruses that are against us. Be conscious of the innumerable angels protecting you at every moment. God promises to protect you because you are His precious child in Christ Jesus. This year, through Jesus, He's going to take you to a broad place filled with His abundant blessings.

Last year Pastor Joseph Prince prophesied about mayhem in China that would happen in 2019. The Wuhan coronavirus began towards the end of 2019.

We are in the end times. There are signs all around. Famines, frequent earthquakes, deadly pestilences. God did not send these things—God is always good.

When God brought calamities upon Pharaoh and Egypt, it was described in the permissive tense. Meaning, He actually just lifted His hand of protection from them.
Pharaoh hardened his own heart and God used that for His own glory.

Jesus came to His own, but they did not receive Him. If Israel had received Him back then, the Millennial reign of Christ would have happened.
That’s what it means when He said “The kingdom of God is at hand.”
When Jesus wept for Lazarus, He cried quietly. But when Jesus wept over Jerusalem, it was with heavy sobbing.

We were made with free choice.
If you want God’s protection, you must ask Him and invite Him to protect you. According to what you believe, it will be unto you.

God has no virus nor poverty to give. Look in Heaven and you’ll never find a virus nor any sign of poverty. The streets are also made of gold.
God won’t bless you without your consent. Ask Him to bless you.
If God wanted to infringe free will, He would have stopped Adam from sinning in the first place.

There are prohibitions from eating certain animals (including bats) in the Bible. God knew what He was talking about.
These forbidden animals are like the waste disposal of the animal kingdom—they eat feces and some people choose to eat them.

Jesus’ first miracle was a miracle of luxury. There was actually no need for more wine. Jesus turned water into wine, showing that He is the Lord of time.

Jesus’ second miracle showed Him as the Lord of space, who heals from a long distance.

God can put you in the right place at the right time, and make space for you.

1 Kings 6:6 - The priests used to stay in the side chambers in the temple. Today we are royal priests to God as well.
When a king speaks, there is power. When priests pray, there is also authority.
When Jesus said that in His Father’s house there are many chambers, He was alluding to the side chambers of the temple.
Through faith in Jesus, man can live so close to God in Heaven.

“The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.” (1 Kings‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭WEB‬)

Jesus took all our sins and bore our punishment. God would be unrighteous to punish us for the same sins today.
In the courts of justice, there is a law called “the law of double jeopardy” which states that the same crime cannot be tried twice.

In good times, God sends ministers of God’s word and friends to speak His words to you. When you’re going through trials, God Himself will draw near to you.

The whole purpose of the devil is to put you in fear and become isolated. He doesn’t want you to come to church.
Pray and trust that God is your refuge.

Confess God's protection over you—His angels will watch you attentively in all your ways

The word for save in Greek is “sozo” from the noun “soteria”.
The word for save in Hebrew is “yasha” which is in Jesus’ Hebrew name “Yeshua”.

Your faith can save (sozo) you from trials, sicknesses and troubles. Jesus saves you from everything bad, even saving you from yourself.

Deuteronomy 20:4 - The word save in this verse is “yasha” in Hebrew, made of the Hebrew letters yud shin ayin. If you add a vav (nail) in between, it becomes Yeshua (Jesus’ name).
Yasha also means to be spacious, ample and broad. The opposite which is narrowness of space, suggests trouble, problems and trials.
This comes from Gesenius’ Hebrew Chaldee Lexicon—he is a Hebrew scholar who is regarded as an authority in the language.
The Hebrew word for Egypt is “Mitzraim” which means “double stress”. Egypt is hemmed in by two straits.
God wants to bring you to a wide, abundant space. Not only in the natural but in the spiritual as well.

“for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”” (Deuteronomy‬ ‭20:4‬ ‭WEB‬)

Jesus' third miracle in the Gospel of John is the healing of the man at the Pool of Bethesda.
The man was waiting for the right time to be healed. He had been waiting there for 38 years. This is time.
There were a lot of people there at the pool. Narrowness of space.
Jesus is not limited by time or space. He healed the man right there.

The Wuhan novel coronavirus has that name because it looks like it has crowns. Corona means “crown”.
If death reigned through the sin of Adam, then those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign much more through Jesus Christ.

Exodus 14:30-31 - The children of Israel finally had a clean sweep out of their narrowness of space.

“Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh, and in his servant Moses.” (Exodus‬ ‭14:30-31‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In the Hebrew, the number 20 is represented by the Hebrew letter kaf. Kaf is a picture of an open hand. This year 2020 is a year of double blessings—both of Jesus’ hands are open towards you to bless you.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing of God’s word.
The devil always tries to play catch up with what God is doing.
What the devil does is more visible and loud.
You keep seeing people wearing masks, and the news keeps talking about the coronavirus.
What God does is usually not visible or tangible.

When God wanted to save the children of Israel, He let Moses be born.
Moses was born so quietly, yet God had done a great thing, raising a great deliverer.
When the devil noticed that God had raised a child to save Israel, he instigated Pharaoh to kill all the male Hebrew babies in Egypt.
That’s visible and loud. But the devil and the people didn’t know about Moses.
God made Pharaoh pay for Moses’ upbringing. He can even make your enemies pay for your expenses.

If you want to know what God is doing, look at what the devil is doing, and reverse it.
Now that an epidemic is spreading, it means that God has released a new wave of healing anointing.

Romans 8:1-2 - The bubonic plague virus died when it touched John G. Lake. That’s the law of the Spirit of Life in action.
Don’t purposely seek trouble to test God. Follow the Holy Spirit—He will lead you.
Knowing that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, is crucial to experiencing the next verse.
The Holy Spirit is restraining evil from fully hitting this world.
When the Rapture happens, the Holy Spirit living inside all Christians will be taken up to Heaven, and the Antichrist will be able to rise to power for the Tribulation period.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.” (Romans‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The power of life and death are in the tongue, not in the virus. Speak life!

A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

When your wife gets angry with you, judge yourself (not in a condemning way) quickly and deal with that flaw in you. Perhaps it’s anger or impatience. Take responsibility, don’t push the blame, and you’ll find that you’ll have a better life.

2 Chronicles 20:20 - When preaching, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, don’t be rigid in your own ways.
Listen to prophetic preaching and you’ll prosper.

“They rose early in the morning, and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in Yahweh your God, so you will be established! Believe his prophets, so you will prosper.”” (2 Chronicles‬ ‭20:20‬ ‭WEB)

2 Chronicles 3:8-13 - There are two 20’s in this verse, coinciding with our current year 2020. It’s like a wink from Heaven, conforming this year’s theme.
It’s encouraging that God even mentions the nails. Everyone that serves in God’s house is precious to God.
Even if your way of service is not conspicuous, God sees and recognizes your service—you are like a gold nail in the temple.
The house of God today is the Christian—you and I. Angels are watching out for us today, with their faces towards us.
Don’t forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Keep coming to church.

“He made the most holy place. Its length, according to the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents. The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold. In the most holy place he made two cherubim by carving; and they overlaid them with gold. The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, joining to the wing of the other cherub. The wings of these cherubim spread themselves out twenty cubits. They stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.” (2 Chronicles‬ ‭3:8-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 91:9-13 - Angels are very active in keep plagues away from God’s people.
Your dwelling is not just personal, but your family as well. Your family is also protected by God.
You have angels guarding you in all your ways.

“Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.” (Psalms‬ ‭91:9-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In 2014, missiles fired into Israel from their neighboring enemy were blown into the sea. Israel’s enemy said that Israel’s God redirected their missiles. This is God’s protection over Israel.

Hebrews 12:22-23 - Mt. Sinai is where the Ten Commandments were given. 3000 people died there.
We are not on Mt. Sinai for we are not under the Old Covenant of the Law.
We are on Mount Zion where the Holy Spirit was given and 3000 people were saved. We are under the New Covenant of Grace.
We have innumerable angels on our side!

“But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels, to the festal gathering and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,” (Hebrews‬ ‭12:22-23‬ ‭WEB‬)

Hebrews 13:2 - Some of us have met angels and didn’t even realize it. They can take on the appearance of people.

“Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.” (Hebrews‬ ‭13:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Kings 6:14-18 - There are more angels on our side than there are viruses against us.
Long before Elisha prayed, the multitudes of angels were already there.
What the devil does is visible. It’s what the young man saw.
What God does is invisible, but is much greater.

“Therefore he sent horses, chariots, and a great army there. They came by night, and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God had risen early, and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. His servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” He answered, “Don’t be afraid; for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Elisha prayed, and said, “Yahweh, please open his eyes, that he may see.” Yahweh opened the young man’s eyes; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha. When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” He struck them with blindness according to Elisha’s word.” (2 Kings‬ ‭6:14-18‬ ‭WEB)

Don’t complain about delays. God is sovereign and He has prepared something great ahead for you.
God loves you enough to let you be disappointed now, so that you can enjoy the future good He has prepared for you.

Revelation‬ ‭5:11‬ - Be conscious of the innumerable multitude of angels that are with you.
They are protecting you from the pestilence that walks in darkness.
Speak and confess God’s protection over you.
The Wuhan novel coronavirus shall not come near you—don’t fear, only believe in God!

“I saw, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands;” (Revelation‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭WEB‬)
