2023 Kairos Year Of Right Time Right Place (8 January 2023) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Live life seeing God smiling at you every day. The Lord makes His face shine on you. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word “panim” means face but is translated into English as “presence”.

Jesus had a unique message for each of the seven local churches of Asia in the Book of Revelation. The theme of the year shared is for the local church of New Creation Church, not for the whole body of Christ.

In Psalm 91, being under the shadow of the Almighty means to be so close to God and you are safe because He is protecting you.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 - The word “time” in this verse is “eth” in Hebrew while the word “chance” is “qarah” in Hebrew.
Eth and Qarah is about “right happening”.

“I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

You cannot get closer to God through right behavior. You have to understand that you are already close to God because you are in Christ.

Your prayers are just as powerful as if Jesus is praying Himself. This is what it means to pray in Jesus’ name.

You will be put in opportune seasonable moments this year by God's grace

The Greek word “Kairos” means “opportune seasonable time”, “the right time”, or “a favorable moment”.

The Greek word “chronos” just means “time” literally, just as measured on a clock.

Acts 3:19 - The word “times” here is “kairos” in Greek. It is referring to a season of refreshing from the Lord.

““Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,” (Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

No matter how bad the waves got while Noah was in the Ark, he could only fall inside the Ark, but not out of it. We are eternally secure in Christ.

The Ark landed on Mount Ararat (meaning “curse reversed”). Through Christ, the curse has been reversed.

The only part of redemption we are still waiting for is the redemption of our body. We will receive our glorified body when the Rapture happens.

Genesis 8:11 - The first mention of “eth” is here and it is related to the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit (represented by the dove) brings you to the right time and right place.

“The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.” (Genesis‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Genesis 18:10 - The word “time” here is also “eth”.

“He said, “I will certainly return to you at about this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.” (Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Genesis 18:14 - The word “time” here is also “eth”. This year is the year of manifestation of prayer requests.

“Is anything too hard for Yahweh? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes around, and Sarah will have a son.”” (Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭14‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Romans 9:9 - The words “appointed time” in the verse below is “kairos”.
Abraham and Sarah were waiting for the kairos moment to come around.

“For this is a word of promise: “At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”” (Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Galatians 6:9 - The words “due season” is “kairos” in Greek. Don’t give up—your kairos moment to reap is coming.
The word “opportunity” is also “kairos”. Kairos is about doing good to fellow believers—being a blessing.

“Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.” (Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Ruth was not a Jewess, but she said to her Jewish mother-in-law that “Your God is my God.”

Don’t measure the value of your life by the wealth in your bank account.

At your workplace, do your job excellently to bring glory to the Lord. Your job is to be a profitable asset to your company.
Don’t only work hard when your boss is looking. Do it properly for the Lord.

Ruth 2:2-4 - Ruth was not conscious of the Law but of grace. She was looking to find favor.
Ruth happened to be in the field that belonged to the wealthiest bachelor in the region. It was a “qarah” moment for Ruth.
What the world calls coincidence, we can call a ‘God-incidence’.

“Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I find favor.” She said to her, “Go, my daughter.” She went, and came and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech. Behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “May Yahweh be with you.” They answered him, “May Yahweh bless you.”” (Ruth‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

“And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.” (Ruth‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

By the Law we are all spiritually bankrupt men who are sinners. We needed a kinsman redeemer to buy us back.

There are three qualities needed in order to be a kinsman redeemer: 1) must be a relative, 2) must be wealthy, 3) must be willing.

Genesis 24 is the longest chapter. It is a hidden-in-plain-sight story of the love between Jesus and His bride (the church). Of all dispensations, the age of the church is the longest dispensation.

Genesis 24:63-67 - In the Hebrew, the words suggest that Rebekah fell off the camel. This was the first time she saw Isaac face to face.
This will happen to us at the Rapture. We will be swept off our feet and meet Jesus in the air.

“Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the evening. He lifted up his eyes and looked. Behold, there were camels coming. Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she got off the camel. She said to the servant, “Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” She took her veil, and covered herself. The servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. He loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.” (Genesis‬ ‭24‬:‭63‬-‭67‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Genesis 24:10-21 - The word “success” is “qarah”. This is the first mention of “qarah” in the Bible.
It is not fleshly to pray for success. Abraham’s servant is a picture of the Holy Spirit.
The word “kindness” in Hebrew is “hesed” (grace).
When you see qarah, hesed (grace) is not far away.
Only God’s grace can put you at the right place at the right time.
When you pray for qarah, God will orchestrate events for your favor.
When you pray to God, He will give you the best, as compared to if you tried to get something by your fleshly efforts.
Camels drink a lot of water. Rebekah went the extra mile to feed Abraham’s servant’s camels with water. She has amazing character. She wasn’t afraid of doing hard work.
The word “prosperous” is “tsalach” in Hebrew. This is also the first occurrence of “tsalach” in the Bible. It is used in a chapter where it talks about the love between Jesus and the church.
The word uses the word “serendipity” to describe finding something good by chance.
The camels are coming. Your Rebekah is coming to you. The manifestation of your prayer requests are arriving.

“The servant took ten of his master’s camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master’s with him. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor. He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water. He said, “Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, ‘Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ then she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’—let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.” Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder. The young lady was very beautiful to look at, a virgin. No man had known her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up. The servant ran to meet her, and said, “Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher.” She said, “Drink, my Lord.” She hurried, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him a drink. When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will also draw for your camels, until they have finished drinking.” She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels. The man looked steadfastly at her, remaining silent, to know whether Yahweh had made his journey prosperous or not.” (Genesis‬ ‭24‬:‭10‬-‭21‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)

Isaiah 65:24 - This suggests accelerated manifestations in answered prayers.

“It will happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah‬ ‭65‬:‭24‬ ‭WEBUS‬‬)
