New Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught us about the burnt offering and how it relates to our ability to receive from God. The more you identify with Jesus and see yourself as the righteousness of God in Christ, the more you will experience His shalom in your life. Before receiving healing and wholeness, you must first have a revelation of how you are righteous in Christ.

The days ahead for a believer are days of good. The path of the righteous is like the shining sun, shining brighter and brighter until the perfect day.

On that day when we see Jesus face to face, there will be no more death, sickness, or weakness.

Look forward with hope. Have a positive expectation of good in your future. The days ahead of us are filled with greater health and favor.

If you want to have good, keep your tongue from evil. Instead of speaking death, doom, and gloom like the world, we can speak by faith.

Hebrew 4:11 - The children of Israel crossing from the wilderness to Israel represents entering rest. We have entered God’s rest through faith in Jesus.

“Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The calling that the Lord has given to Pastor Joseph Prince is to bring Jesus back to the church.

Of all the things He could choose to do after resurrecting, Jesus chose to first dry Mary’s tears in front of the tomb.

Psalm 56:8 - Every tear you shed is not forgotten before God. Jesus has come to heal the broken-hearted.

“You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?” (Psalms‬ ‭56:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart ministers health and wholeness to your whole body.

“A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs‬ ‭17:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

To the degree that you see Jesus in the Scriptures according to the Holy Spirit, you are able to receive that measure from God.

Matthew 13:54-58 - The people of Nazareth got familiar with Jesus and only saw Him in the natural. Their unbelief made them unable to receive from Him.
We look at Jesus in the Scriptures, not from a painting.
The Holy Spirit paints Jesus in the canvas of our heart through giving us hazon visions.

“Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works? Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?” They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.” He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew‬ ‭13:54-58‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 11:25 - Those who have childlike humility are able to easily receive revelations of Jesus.

“At that time, Jesus answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.” (Matthew‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

See yourself as the righteousness of God in Christ and you will receive God’s shalom peace in your life

Leviticus 1:1-9 - The Hebrew word for “offering” is “qorban” which means “to approach near”.
There are three types of burnt offerings in Leviticus.
The first type of offering “from the herd” is a bullock raised without doing hard labor, like the fatted calf in the parable of the prodigal son.
The second type is “from the flock” which is a lamb or sheep.
The third type is a pigeon.
These three types of offerings represent different degrees of revelation about Jesus.
Some people have a bullock-sized revelation about Jesus, while others only have a pigeon-sized revelation about Jesus.
However, all these types of offerings emit a fragrance to God.
The bullock, lamb, and bird all represent Jesus in some aspect.
Bullock represents Jesus as a strong, industrious worker.
Lamb represents Jesus as the meek, gentle Lamb of God.
Bird represents Jesus who is from Heaven above.
The word “accepted” in Hebrew is “ratzah” which means to be favored by God.
The laying on of hands on the bullock represents how you are identified with it.
The offerer does not put his hands on the lamb or on the pigeon, which shows a lesser revelation of Jesus.
We lay our hands on our bullock by identifying ourselves in Christ. We are the righteousness of God in Him.
When we do this, all that Jesus is, becomes ours.
The other way is true as well. Our sins are transferred into the bullock and the bullock is killed.
Jesus received our sins and He bled and died in our place.
The more you see of Jesus, the more you are able to receive from God.
You do not need to have much knowledge about Jesus in order to be saved. Just place your faith in Him as Lord and you are saved.
However, your ability to receive from Jesus is dependent on your revelation of Him.
The animal offerings are killed in a very humane way. The offerer kills the animal because God wants us to know that Jesus died for our sins so that we can be made righteous.
We have all broken the Ten Commandments. Even the evil things you think in your heart are also considered sin.
The altar always represents “the claims of God”.
The blood sprinkled around the altar means that Jesus’ finished work at the cross has fully satisfied the divine claims of holiness in your life.
When the blood of the pigeon is sprinkled, it is only sprinkled on the side of the altar. It represents a limited capacity to see Jesus and receive from Him.
Many people know that they are forgiven through Jesus’ blood, but they do not know that they have become the righteousness of God in Christ.
The animal is skinned, foreshadowing Jesus’ stripes (Isaiah 53:3). By His stripes we are healed. Healing and provision are our portion.
The church shines brighter and brighter as time goes by. Our revelation of Jesus gets bigger and clearer.
Back then, criminals were either scourged or crucified, not both. Jesus experienced both. By His stripes, we are healed.
Identification comes before the healing. You must know that you are the righteousness of God in Christ.
Why are the head, entrails, and legs of the animal offered to God? Head (Jesus knew no sin), entrails (in Jesus was no sin), legs (Jesus did no sin).

“Yahweh called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When anyone of you offers an offering to Yahweh, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock. “‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh. He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. He shall kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. He shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces. The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire; and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar; but its innards and its legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.” (Leviticus‬ ‭1:1-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 1:3 - Jesus could sit down because He has purged our sins once and for all.

“His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 5:21 - There was a divine exchange at the cross. Jesus took our sins and we received His righteousness.
At the cross, the sky became like brass to Him, so that we can be under an open heaven today.
Jesus cried out “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me,” so that we can say, “My Father, My Father, why have You so blessed me?”

“For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Isaiah 53:6 - There is no greater gift than Jesus. Mankind treated Jesus with contempt, crying out for Him to be crucified as if to say to God, “This is what we think of Your Son.” Yet, God made the cross the foundation of our forgiveness of sins.

“All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah‬ ‭53:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Isaiah 32:17 - The effect of righteousness will be shalom which means health, wholeness, healing, and more.

“The work of righteousness will be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.” (Isaiah‬ ‭32:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 2:15 - We produce a sweet aroma of rest to God.
Every time you come to God in prayer, see yourself producing a sweet aroma that delights God.

“For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish;” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 27:27 - When Jacob deceived Isaac, Isaac gave the firstborn blessing to Jacob, thinking that the aroma he smelled was of his other son, Esau.
We receive the firstborn blessing because we have been made a sweet aroma of Christ to God.

“He came near, and kissed him. He smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, “Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Yahweh has blessed.” (Genesis‬ ‭27:27‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Leviticus 3:3-5 - The word “peace” here in Hebrew is “shelamim” which is the plural of shalom.
Jesus already paid for us to enjoy His abundance of shalom, so receive it.
The word “fat” in Hebrew is “cheleb” which means the choicest part.
The fat here represents the riches of the person of Jesus.
The fat is poured over the animal carcass that is already burning on the altar. Your shalom must have a foundation. The burnt offering represents righteousness, and the fat is the shalom (blessings like wholeness and health).
Every time you confess “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”, you are getting healthier and stronger. As you keep confessing this, the problem in you is dying, just like how Jesus cursed the fig tree and made it wither away.

“He shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to Yahweh; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away. Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.” (Leviticus‬ ‭3:3-5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Pastor Prince shared a testimony of a man who was set free from a seven-year addiction to smoking by declaring that he is the righteousness of God in Christ.

Hebrew 7:1-2 - Jesus is our high priest after the order of Melchizedek. The Melchizedek priesthood is one of blessing with no cursing.
Melchizedek blessed Abraham and never cursed him.
The name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”. Salem means “shalom—peace”.
Jesus is first the king of righteousness, and then the king of peace.
You must first receive His righteousness before you can receive His peace (shalom).

“For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”;” (Hebrews‬ ‭7:1-2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Revelation 1:6 - God has made you a royal priest.

“and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Leviticus 7:8 - If you see anyone as the righteousness of God in Christ, you will receive the benefit of the skin (by Jesus’ stripes you are healed).

“The priest who offers any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.” (Leviticus‬ ‭7:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Job 42:8-10 - When Job functioned as a priest, interceding for his friends and offering up burnt offerings for them, he was restored with double.
When anyone sins against you, pray for them to be blessed. You will receive the benefit of health and healing.

“Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.” So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job. Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (Job‬ ‭42:8-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Isaiah‬ ‭32:17-19 - Your security is found in Christ. Even in the midst of the pandemic, you will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places when you know and believe that you are the righteousness of God in Christ!

“The work of righteousness will be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.” (Isaiah‬ ‭32:17-19‬ ‭WEB‬‬)
