18 July 2021 - Condemnation Kills - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Pastor Joseph Prince taught how condemnation produced by placing oneself under the Ten Commandments invites death to wreak havoc in your life. We are in the season of the Rapture, and the revelation of righteousness by faith is what will give us power to be alive and remaining when Jesus returns!

Your soul prospers first, followed by you prospering in all things and being healthy.

Ephesians 1:18-20 - Your spirit-man has ears and eyes too.
Continue to pray the truths in the passage daily.

“having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians‬ ‭1:18-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Philippians 3:9-10 - God wants us to know His resurrection power.

“and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;” (Philippians‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 2:7 - Adam’s body was made from the dust of the ground, while his spirit is from God’s breath. Adam’s name in Hebrew, “adamah”, means ground. It is to remind man to be humble.
One-third of the former creation, the angels, led by Lucifer, rebelled against God. The root of this trespass was pride.

“Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 2:17 - The original Hebrew says “dying you shall die”. The moment Adam sinned, his spirit died. However, his body only died nine hundred over years later.
Do not say that only your spirit is your real self. God made you—body, soul, and spirit.
Many people close disregard their body and soul and do not experience the resurrection power of God in these realms.
Jesus will be coming back for us soon and we will receive our new glorified bodies.
Even today, sin still brings death.

“and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it — dying thou dost die.’” (Genesis‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭YLT98‬‬)

Romans 8:10 - The whole chapter talks about being conscious of the righteous spirit and not the sinful flesh.
When you are conscious of the righteousness in your spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit will flow into your soul, and also touch your body.

“If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.” (Romans‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Corinthians 15:25-26 - Every enemy will be put under Jesus’ feet before death is finally abolished. That means that all viruses will be placed under Jesus’ feet too.

“For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:25-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Philippians 3:21 - The last part of our redemption that we are still waiting for is the redemption of our bodies.

“who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.” (Philippians‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 21:28 - The signs are telling us that Jesus’ return is close at hand.

“But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”” (Luke‬ ‭21:28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Men lived long lives before the Law came in. Condemnation kills

1 Thessalonians 4:15 - “Young” can be people who are just naturally young because they are teenagers, but to “remain” denotes power. Power to stop death and to hold back every attack of the enemy.

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.” (1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

1 Corinthians 15:45-57 - Adam was just a living being—living by himself. Jesus is a life-giving spirit who gives life to all He touches.
The event of Jesus coming back for us to transform our mortal bodies into glorified bodies is referred to as the Rapture, or “the catching away”.
Our new glorified body will be a real body that is incorruptible. It can be touched, it can eat, and yet it transcends the natural laws of this world.
God does not want us to be disembodied spirits. He wants man to be a tripartite being.
The “perishable” refers to those who are dead in Christ. Their bodies are decaying in the grave, however none of the dust particles are lost by God. “Mortal” refers to those who are still alive when Jesus returns.

“So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly. Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:45-57‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Sin brought two flowing streams: blood and tears. Sin makes man miserable.

Hebrews 10:25 - We can sense the season of the Rapture coming.
We are not the children of darkness but the children of light. The Rapture will not ambush us like a thief in the night.

“not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews‬ ‭10:25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 7:6-9 - We have been delivered from the Ten Commandments.
The words “finding occasion” in Greek is aphorme, which means “to take as a base of operations”.
Sin uses the Ten Commandments as a base of operations to launch attacks on us.
From Egypt to Sinai, God dealt with the children of Israel by His goodness and not by their goodness.
From Egypt to Sinai, none of the children of Israel died. They murmured and complained, but it seems like every fresh murmuring brought forth a fresh manifestation of God’s Grace.
God dealt with them purely by grace, according to the covenant He made with Abraham.
At Mount Sinai, the children of Israel said, “All that God commands us, we can do it.” It was a statement of pride. In essence, they said, “Do not bless us because You are good, but because we are good.”
After they said that, God told them not to come near to touch the mountain.
Before Sinai, God was so close to them, being a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar fire by night.
When the children of Israel came out of Egypt with gold and silver, there was no evil desire to make a golden calf.
But after the Law was given, they made a golden calf. Three thousand people died that day.
In the devil’s base, he probably teaches the demons to use the Law to cause a revival of sin.

“But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting, unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead. I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.” (Romans‬ ‭7:6-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:11 - We are dead to sin and dead to the Law. Do not let sin use the Law as a base of operations to launch attacks on you.
The Law is holy and righteous, but our flesh is not. The more you try to keep the Law, the more you will fail.

“Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:14 - When you put yourself under the Law, sin and all its derivatives will have dominion over you.

“For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 3:6-9 - The Jewish people will tell you that the giving of the Law was their first Pentecost. The result: three thousand people died.
On the day of Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, and three thousand people were saved.
The letter kills, while the Spirit gives life.
The Ten Commandments is the only part of the Law that was written on stones.
The rest of the statues and ordinances of the Law were written on parchments and animal hides.

“who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.” (II Corinthians‬ ‭3:6-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

John 1:17 - The Law demands righteousness, whereas Grace supplies righteousness.
Jesus’ standard of righteousness is higher, but He supplies His own righteousness to us.

“For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.” (John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 5:12-14 - Adam lived more than nine hundred years. Until Moses, people lived long lives.
Death was still reigning from Adam to Moses, and people were still sinning.
Why did they live long lives? It is because people were not sin-conscious and therefore not self-condemned. Condemnation kills.
In Heaven, there will not be a song saying, “Worthy is the Lamb, and me.”
If God wants all the glory, let Him do all the work. He delights in that—when we rely completely on Him.

“Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned. For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren’t like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.” (Romans‬ ‭5:12-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Sin causes the world to groan and travail, eagerly waiting for the revealing of the manifestation of the children of God. In places where there is a lot of sin committed, it seems like the place itself shakes and many disasters happen. It is not from God, but it is caused by sin.

We must know Jesus to become holy. We do not become holy through the Law of Moses.

John 13:34 - The commandments under Grace are not grievous. It is easy, like telling a hungry man to eat the food that is right in front of him.
You do not clean yourself before you take a bath. Take the bath and you will be clean. Jesus is the bath.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.” (John‬ ‭13:34‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

After Sinai, the children of Israel died when they murmured and complained. Why? They were now under Law and not under God’s Grace.

Galatians 3:10 - To try your best under the Law is not enough. You must do everything perfectly otherwise you will be under its curse.

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”” (Galatians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 1:17 - We received eternal life through faith, and we will continue to receive God’s power of life in our mortal bodies when we rely on the righteousness of faith.

“For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, “ The righteous by faith will live.””(Romans‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NET‬‬)

2 Corinthians 3:18 - We will live holy lives through beholding Jesus and being transformed by the Holy Spirit.

“But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 3:9 - This is the first question asked in the Old Testament. Adam was self-condemned, so he hid from God.
Many medical professionals say that stress causes many diseases. There is a deeper root than stress: condemnation.

“Yahweh God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”” (Genesis‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 2:2 - This is the first question in the New Testament. It points us to Jesus.

““Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”” (Matthew‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 50:26 - The Book of Genesis begins with God creating the heavens and the earth, and it ends with a coffin. This is the best that the world can give you. The deeper problem of sin cannot be handled by science.

“So Joseph died, being one hundred ten years old, and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.” (Genesis‬ ‭50:26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Someone’s throat that is red is being healed.

Someone’s kidney is being healed.
