New Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught that every believer has received a new and clean heart from God, with wisdom deposited into it. We can be led by the anointing inside to enjoy length of days, riches, honor, pleasantness, and peace from God!

David’s life is a picture of the life of Jesus Christ. David was rejected by Saul and Jesus was rejected by the religious leaders of Israel.

David’s mighty men went to him during his rejection. So many of them were Gentiles. This is like our times where the Gentiles are mainly the ones who are believing in Jesus.

David eventually took the throne. One day, Jesus will rule as King on earth.

One of the mighty men, Ittai the Gittite, was a Philistine—the same tribe as Goliath whom David killed. Ittai brought his family to follow David and when David ascended to his throne, he made Itai commander over one-third of his army. One day, Jesus will reward those who followed Him faithfully during their lifetime.

Psalm 51:6 - God teaches us wisdom in our hearts.

“Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.” (Psalms‬ ‭51:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Lord is our Shepherd. We only need to follow His leading as His sheep.

Proverbs 3:13-17 - Wisdom gives us five things: length of days (health and longevity), riches, honor, pleasantness, and peace.

“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies. None of the things you can desire are to be compared to her. Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness. All her paths are peace.” (Proverbs‬ ‭3:13-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Health is from the Lord.

Learn to receive, especially from the Lord. Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive, but that it with regards to your relationship with fellow men. With God, it is more blessed to receive from Him than to give to Him.

Be led by God’s wisdom that has been deposited in your new heart

1 Kings 3:9-10 - Solomon asked God for a hearing heart.

“Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?” This request pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” (1 Kings‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Kings 10:23-24 - God put wisdom in Solomon’s heart. An unbeliever’s heart is the one that is desperately wicked. A believer’s heart is clean and right with God.

“So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom. All the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.” (1 Kings‬ ‭10:23-24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 51:10 - God answered this prayer for all believers under the New Covenant.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ezekiel 36:26 - God has replaced your heart. Sin is still in the flesh, but you have a new heart with God’s wisdom in it.

“I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel‬ ‭36:26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Find time to contemplate and meditate upon the Lord and His word. Nowadays, people are always making themselves busy. We need to set aside time to hear from the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:3 - We are living letters. God writes on our new hearts through the preaching of His word.
Many people in the world do not read the Scriptures. But they can read you and eventually come to know God.

“being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 1:17-18 - Your understanding has eyes. The word translated as “hearts” here is dianoia which is the imagination.

“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians‬ ‭1:17-18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Mark 2:5-12 - The word translated here as “reasoning” is dialogizomai which is to use the logic. Jesus perceived in the spirit. It is never written of Jesus that He dialogizomai, even though He definitely did.
Jesus is contrasted with the scribes. Instead of relying on logic, He relies on perceiving from the Father.

“Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?’ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.” He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”” (Mark‬ ‭2:5-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 8:7-13 - The word translated as “mind” here is dianoia. God speaks to us by writing on our imagination.
Follow the peace in your spirit which is how the Lord leads you. When something seems good to the mind but feels wrong in the spirit, then do not proceed.

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. For finding fault with them, he said, “Behold, the days come”, says the Lord, “that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they didn’t continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them,” says the Lord. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days,” says the Lord; “I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people. They will not teach every man his fellow citizen, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all will know me, from their least to their greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.” In that he says, “A new covenant”, he has made the first old. But that which is becoming old and grows aged is near to vanishing away.” (Hebrews‬ ‭8:7-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When you follow the Lord, He frees you from stress. His paths are of peace.

Scammers use God’s name to cheat Christians because they know that it pulls at our heartstrings.

Giving to New Creation Church and others good churches that you are planted in is a safeguard because they will check the legitimacy of the beneficiaries and help us sow on good ground.

1 John 2:20-21 - We need confirmation from the outside, but not direction. God will lead you first from inside. Do not just listen to any so-called prophet’s words if you do not have any leading from the Lord on the inside.
God’s wisdom already dwells inside you.
If you made a mistake in hearing from the Lord, do not give up. Get up and walk again.

“You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.” (1 John‬ ‭2:20-21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 John 2:26-27 - God’s anointing always remains in you. Pastors and teachers only confirm to you what you already know as true on the inside.

“These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray. As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.” (1 John‬ ‭2:26-27‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I highly recommend purchasing Pastor Prince's sermons on his mobile app "Joseph Prince" on Apple App Store or Google Play Store even after you read these notes as I may have missed out something he shared and the overall experience is definitely different when you listen to him preaching directly!
Use these notes as a revision guide instead of solely depending on them!

These sermon notes are independently-compiled by me, and I'm just a loyal and regular attendee of the the church's Sunday services, and I feel led to take detailed personal sermon notes of Pastor Prince's anointed messages to share them with the world, which desperately needs the true word of God and the original gospel of grace.
