New Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught us about the peace offering and how we can receive God’s love and power through this revelation.

1 Corinthians 1:23 - The world cannot understand how Jesus’ death at the cross can help them. It is not logical to them.
However, work of the cross exists outside time and space.
It is both the power and wisdom of God.
God leads us by our intuition which is in the timeless realm.
Even though you do not understand everything yet, you can still follow the Holy Spirit’s prompting.

“but we preach Christ crucified; a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:23-24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Galatians 5:16 - Be led by the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The peace offering (“shelamim”: the plural of peace) does not atone for sins. It is the sin offering and burnt offering that make atonement for sins.

The peace offering is for thanksgiving after experiencing God’s blessing.

Jesus died for our sins and He also carried our diseases.

Shalom is all-encompassing wholeness in every part of your being and in your life.

Romans 5:1 - The peace offering comes after the sin offering and burnt offering. Peace is not something you do, it is something to be received from God.
The word “have” is “echomen” in Greek which means you have to actively receive this peace.

“Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;” (Romans‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 14:27 - Jesus gave us His peace. The peace by which He worked miracles.
This peace is not dependent on world events. You can enjoy that peace right now, even amidst challenges.
Every time you catch yourself feeling troubled, tell yourself, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.” (John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 11:30 - The way of a Christian is light and easy.

“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”” (Matthew‬ ‭11:30‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Proverbs 11:35 - The way of an unbeliever is hard.

“Good understanding wins favor; but the way of the unfaithful is hard.” (Proverbs‬ ‭13:15‬ ‭WEB‬)

Sometimes when you need healing and you ask God for it, He may give you His wisdom. For example, He may lead you to cut down on sugar intake, and that will resolve the health condition. God knows exactly what is needed.

The peace offering shows us how we can enjoy God's love and power

Hebrews 12:2 - The word “looking” in the Greek, “aphorōntes”, has the meaning of looking intently at the subject, and looking away from all else.
Look away from what the world trusts in and look unto Jesus as your solution to every problem.

“looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands can only love their wife like that after knowing how Christ loved the church. Receive His love first.

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;” (Ephesians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus’ finished work at the cross has fully met all the divine requirements of the Law.

Leviticus 3:1-5 - The “fat” (cheleb) refers to the very best part. God gave His very best to you.

““‘If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without defect before Yahweh. He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting: and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood around on the altar. He shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to Yahweh; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away. Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.” (Leviticus‬ ‭3:1-5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 3:17 - God sees the inside. Everything about Jesus inside delights the Father.

“and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

The burnt offering is a picture of righteousness before God.

Leviticus 3:16 - The altar is where you give God His food. The Father finds satisfaction in the obedience of His Son at the cross.

“The priest shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the fat is Yahweh’s.” (Leviticus‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 5:8 - Jesus did not just die for us—He died as us.
That sinful part of us inside (the spirit) is gone.
Jesus rose from the dead as us, and sat down at the right hand of the Father as man.
All of Jesus’ accomplishments, He did it as man. One of us made it to the Father’s presence in Heaven!

“But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:10-11 - Jesus is always God, but He came to this world as man to be the new federal head of mankind.
God reckons us as Jesus. Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension are also yours.
Everything that Jesus is, is also true of you. As He is, so are you in this world.
The sinful tendencies that you feel are not from the real you. The true you is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

“For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God. Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans‬ ‭6:10-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 3:18 - We are transformed by beholding Jesus.

“But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 2:15 - The apostle Paul brought out the truth of Christ from the peace offering.
The peace offering rises like a sweet aroma of Christ to God.

“For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish;” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Leviticus 7:28-34 - When God looks at the fat, He is reminded of Jesus’ beauty inside. The breast of the animal represents Jesus’ love.
Jesus died to bring glory to God, fully fulfilling all the requirements of the Law on our behalf. His death has magnified the Law.
Aaron the high priest represents Jesus our high priest. Jesus finds His joy in loving us.
What happens when the fire touches Jesus is perfection, producing a sweet aroma. If fire touches us, all that comes out is uncleanness.
The strongest bone in our body is the right thigh bone. It is a picture of strength and power.
The sons of Aaron represents us believers.
The one who understands the value of Jesus’ finished work at the cross will enjoy God’s power (represented by the right thigh).

“Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to Yahweh shall bring his offering to Yahweh out of the sacrifice of his peace offerings. With his own hands he shall bring the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before Yahweh. The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. The right thigh you shall give to the priest for a heave offering out of the sacrifices of your peace offerings. He among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right thigh for a portion. For the waved breast and the heaved thigh I have taken from the children of Israel out of the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as their portion forever from the children of Israel.’”” (Leviticus‬ ‭7:28-34‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Leviticus 10:14 - The offering is not just for sons but also for daughters.
The wave offering (love) waved horizontally side to side is a picture of Jesus’ love.
The heave offering (power) lifted vertically is a picture of God’s power.
The motions of the wave and heave offerings form the shape of the cross. The cross is the love and power of God revealed.

“The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons’ portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.” (Leviticus‬ ‭10:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 John 4:19 - Unless we know how much God loves us, we cannot be loving people.

“We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 4:4 - This need was not due to geographical need. It was a need of love.

“He needed to pass through Samaria.” (John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 4:25-26 - He needed to meet the woman by the well to restore her and reveal Himself to her as the Christ.
This woman was not a VIP. She was a woman committing sexual immorality, but still Jesus loved her.

“The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah comes, he who is called Christ. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”” (John‬ ‭4:25-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 4:32-34 - Jesus’ food is to love us and to do the will of the Father.
If you take from man, he will be depleted and drained.
The more you receive from God, the more reinvigorated and refreshed He is.
God is one who gives and gives.

“But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.” The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.” (John‬ ‭4:32-34‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Corinthians 13:3 - If you are not receiving God’s love and walking in His love, all the good deeds you do profits you nothing.

“If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 3:16 - Feed on God’s love and you will grow and be strengthened.

“that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;” (Ephesians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Colossians 1:11 - Receive God’s love and you will be patient with other people’s weaknesses.

“strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;” (Colossians‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus finds His food in loving us and we find our food in His love. “Give us this day our daily bread”—we must feed on His love every day.

Genesis 14:18 - See Jesus bringing the bread and wine to you whenever you partake of Holy Communion. We receive Holy Communion from Jesus.
The Holy Communion is called the “Eucharist” which means thanksgiving.

“Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.” (Genesis‬ ‭14:18‬ ‭WEB‬)

Matthew 26:28 - The Holy Communion is a celebratory feast. It is a reminder of the remission of sins, not for consciousness of sins.
It is dishonoring to be sin conscious and fearful when receiving the Holy Communion.

“for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When the anointing flows in your life, what you do feels easy. Every Satanic yoke is broken when the anointing touches it.

If you are not seeing God’s love and power in the Scriptures, you are misinterpreting them.

When Jesus had compassion on the people (love), He healed them (power).

Pastor Prince released words of knowledge for healing:

Someone is healed of a liver condition.

Someone with blurry vision is healed.

Someone who had a severe fall, with stitches on the head, is healed and well.

Someone with stiff back and trouble sleeping is healed.
