26 September 2021 - Enjoy Grace in the “Now” - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

New Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught us how to enjoy God’s freely flowing favors by living in the “now” where grace is present and available to us. Instead of being regretful of the past or worried about the future, we can enjoy the now.

When we listen to sermons, we are sitting at Jesus’ feet and receiving His word. This is the one thing that is needful.

If we walk by sight, there are many things that will make us feel despondent.

Moral darkness will increase. People will call what is good as evil, and call what is evil, good.

The Rapture is imminent. Jesus can return at anytime. After that, Jesus’ Second Coming happens at the end of the seven years of Tribulation.

Matthew 24:6-8 - Even when we hear bad news in the world, we must see that we are not troubled.
The Greek word for “troubled” is “merinao” which refers to a noisy riot in the mind.

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew‬ ‭24:6-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Acts 2:17 - God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, even on non-believers. This glorious time is coming.

“‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.” (Acts‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Acts 2:20 - The Day of the Lord is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ which is at the end of the seven years of Tribulation.

“The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.” (Acts‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 10:10 - Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly.

“The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭WEB‬)

All that God has is already yours. Say that you have it and more will be given to you

2 Corinthians 6:2 - The word “time” here in Greek is “kairos” which means “a seasonable, opportune time”.
We are not in the Day of Vengeance. We are still in the acceptable (“dektos”) year of the Lord.
When God hears you, it implies that He grants your request.
The apostle Paul quoted from the Book of Isaiah. That time of favor that Isaiah prophesied is our ever-present reality.
We cannot enjoy the dektos (free-flowing favor of God) if we are constantly living in the future by being worried.
If you live in the “now”, all that is true about God’s dektos is present in your “now”.
The word “salvation” in this verse is not just salvation from Hell. It is also rescue, preserve, deliver, etc.
Enjoy your “now” and you will enjoy God’s favor.

“For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

There is discipline from God today, but no more punishment. Jesus was punished for your sins at the cross.

2 Corinthians 5:7 - Faith is the lifestyle of the New Covenant believer.
It is our faith that activates God’s power to flow into us.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Hebrews 11:1 - Faith is not “pretending that it exists”. No, faith is something real that is beyond what we can physically see.
Faith is in the “now”.

“Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Colossians 1:16-17 - Man cannot deduce what holds atoms together. It is Jesus who holds all things together.
Jesus also holds your marriage, mind, and all things together in your life.

“For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.” (Colossians‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Mark 11:24 - Jesus cursed a fig tree and the next day it had withered away. What you say and believe will come to pass.
Believe that you have received it now, and you will have it.

“Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.” (Mark‬ ‭11:24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 25:29 - If you say you have it, an overabundance will be given to you. If you say you do not have, even what you have will be taken away from you.

“For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.” (Matthew‬ ‭25:29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

“for to every one having shall be given, and he shall have overabundance, and from him who is not having, even that which he hath shall be taken from him;” (Matthew‬ ‭25:29‬ ‭YLT98‬‬)

Luke 8:18 - When you hear God’s promises, say that you have it. More will be given to you.

“Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”” (Luke‬ ‭8:18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Corinthians 4:18 - If you can see something, it is temporal. The things you cannot see are eternal.

“while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 2:6 - We are now already seated with Christ in Heaven. This is a current reality.

“and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 15:17 - In God’s house, there is bread and enough to spare—every blessing you need.
It is easy to be saved. As long as you come back to the Father by calling on the name of Jesus, no matter what your motive is, you will be saved.
In the parable, the father was always scanning the horizon for his son’s return. When he saw him, the father ran to welcome his son back.
God runs to save a sinner. It is urgent and of the highest importance to Him.

“But when he came to himself he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!” (Luke‬ ‭15:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 15:25-26 - Music and dancing is a foreign concept to a self-righteous person.

““Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing. He called one of the servants to him, and asked what was going on.” (Luke‬ ‭15:25-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 15:29 - Jesus is addressing self-righteous people who think that they have never broken any of the Ten Commandments. They always try to earn God’s blessings.

“But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.” (Luke‬ ‭15:29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 15:31 - The word “all” in Greek is “pas” which means “every type”. Every type of blessing is already ours.
Even though he was a son, the elder son operated with a slave-like mentality.
A son can serve, but with dignity, without a slavish spirit.

““He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.” (Luke‬ ‭15:31‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 8:17 - We are not heirs-apparent (meaning yet to step into office). We are already joint heirs with Christ.

“and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.” (Romans‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

We must realize that we are already complete in Christ. Only when we believe this can we walk out that completeness.

John 13:3-5 - Jesus did not proceed from a sense of emptiness to wash His disciples’ feet. He knew that the Father had given all things into His hands.
Believers who know that they have received all things from God can afford to be humble and serve.
Joseph was the most powerful man in the world during his time. He had received all executive power from Pharaoh. Joseph used that power to forgive his brothers and provide for them.

“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God, and was going to God, arose from supper, and laid aside his outer garments. He took a towel, and wrapped a towel around his waist. Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.” (John‬ ‭13:3-5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 4:16 - Ask God for what you need confidently. There is no need to beg Him.

“Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 11:20-26 - Martha put Jesus in the past and in the future, but Jesus wanted her to see Him as the resurrection and the life in the “now”.

“Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house. Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died. Even now I know that, whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”” (John‬ ‭11:20-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

James 1:17 - Good gifts are for everyone in the world, while perfect gifts are only for God’s children. There is no age of miracles, only a God of miracles.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.” (James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 46:1 - God is available to help you now.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:14 - The only way to nullify the effect of grace is to put in effort. We are in a state of Grace where we are just flowing with God working in and through us.
When you overthink things and put too much pressure on yourself, you will exit ‘the zone of grace’.
Operate from a state of fullness, not emptiness.

“For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.” (Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 92:10 - Oil is a picture of the anointing because it allows you to operate easily in the flow of God’s power. If a door is creaky, anoint it with oil, and it will move easily.

“But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.” (Psalms‬ ‭92:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 6:34 - Trust God day by day. His grace for today is available now. Tomorrow’s grace will be available when tomorrow comes.

“Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.” (Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 6:30-34 - Rest in God. We do not need to be so focused on getting. Grace is God giving to us.
Be present and conscious of what God is doing for you now.

““If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (Matthew‬ ‭6:30-34‬ ‭MSG‬‬)

I highly recommend purchasing Pastor Prince's sermons on his mobile app "Joseph Prince" on Apple App Store or Google Play Store even after you read these notes as I may have missed out something he shared and the overall experience is definitely different when you listen to him preaching directly!
Use these notes as a revision guide instead of solely depending on them!

These sermon notes are independently-compiled by me, and I'm just a loyal and regular attendee of the the church's Sunday services, and I feel led to take detailed personal sermon notes of Pastor Prince's anointed messages to share them with the world, which desperately needs the true word of God and the original gospel of grace.

I feel blessed to be able to attend Pastor Joseph Prince's services in person, and would like to help everyone who isn't able to attend in person, to get hold of the messages as soon as it is preached!
