Biography
Hickey was born in Overland Park, Kansas, in 1931. When she was a young girl, Marilyn, whose parents were professing Methodists, attended church only casually, but she became a born again Christian when she was a teenager. In college, she studied Spanish, intending to become a public high school teacher. Although her husband is a pastor of the Assemblies of God denomination, Marilyn Hickey doesn't identify herself with any particular denomination. The couple married, and after a short time in Texas returned to Denver to found Full Gospel Chapel. The church, now known as Orchard Road Christian Center, is now one of the largest churches in the Denver area, and currently meets in a former mall in Greenwood Village. They have since turned over the pastorate to their daughter Sarah Bowling and son-in-law Reece Bowling.

Marilyn and Sarah TV program
Hickey has aired a television program since 1973, and since 1996 has co-hosted it with her daughter Sarah Bowling. Marilyn and Sarah can be seen on various Christian networks such as Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and the DayStar Network and independent stations in both the U.S. and across the globe, and also on web and podcasts, including the ministries website.

Missionary works
With her daughter Sarah and at times with her husband Wallace and others, Hickey also regularly appears as both a speaker in conferences, especially overseas, leading missions trips with strong emphasis on outreach and aid in third-world nations. Hickey has served as a member of the Board of Regents of Oral Roberts University.

As we behold Jesus, we are transformed from glory to glory.

Psalm 51:6 - Truth is the Bible. When we read the Bible, we put truth in our hearts, and it will cause us to have wisdom in our minds.

"Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom." (Psalms 51:6 NKJV)

Look for Jesus in all the books of the Bible.

2 Corinthians 2:14 - Through Jesus, we always triumph. The game is not over until we win!

"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place." (II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)

Retirement is doing what you love.

Old Testament books can be categorised in sequential order as - Plenitude, History, Wisdom, Prophets.

New Testament books can be categorised in sequential order as - Gospels, Acts, Epistles, Revelation.

The gospels show us what we can expect in us as a born-again Christian.

Matthew (Lion) - Shows the authority we have as a believer, in Jesus's name.

Mark (Ox) - Shows how Jesus is always serving and we are to serve too.

Luke (Man) - Has more about women, men and angels mentioned in it than in the other gospels. We are relatable to others because of this side of us. 

John (Eagle) - Shows the divinity and miraculous nature of Jesus in us. 

We're not just supposed to talk about Jesus, but to demonstrate Jesus through prayers and miracles too.

Believe for multiplication of what you have in your hands and hearts. Give it to Jesus to be multiplied.

Jesus in us will always show us how to bridge to other people when we share about Jesus, so that they can be saved.

Handkerchiefs can be prayed over and lead to miracles, healing and repentance.

The four living creatures mentioned in Ezekiel 1:5 each reveal an aspect of Jesus Himself to us! Jesus is majestic and a king like a lion, long-suffering with servitude like an ox, divine and wise like an eagle, and similar to us like a man. The Bible is full of truths that reveal different aspects of Jesus to a prayerful and discerning reader and student of the Word.
