Oprah Winfrey did thirty-over-thousand interviews in her amazing career, and almost every time, whether it was a person that was rich or poor, ruler or pauper, they would ask "How did I do? Was I okay?".
Every single person needs affirmation. We all want to be validated. Even Ivy League students need to fee secure and significant.

An Ivy League degree is not a guarantee of true significance and security. True security, significance and success comes from One Person - Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:17 - Through Jesus, we will have much more than just success. We will REIGN in life!
True security is found in the abundance of grace. How can we truly feel secure if we have to EARN someone's love?
The favor we receive from God is completely unmerited. True significance comes when we know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ, and that is it a gift to us that cannot be lost!
We are favored and made righteous because God is so good, not because we are good.
The gift of righteousness causes us to have good behavior.
Most people know this verse, but we need to experience this verse so that it becomes a revelation. It needs to go from our head to our heart to bear fruit in our lives.

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17 NKJV)

John 15:5 - Without Jesus, you can do nothing without worth or value. It is all dead works without life. We cannot manufacture life. No one can.
You want life? You want righteousness to bear real fruit in your life? You must abide in Jesus.
When we abide in Jesus, the eternal Vine life will flow into our internal, and come out to impact our external. It will affect our daily lives.

““I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 NKJV)

When we abide in Jesus, the eternal Vine life will flow into our internal, and come out to impact our external. It will affect our daily lives.

John 15:5-8 - "Abide" is "meno" in Greek, which means to abide, to continue, to remain.
This passage is about fruit-bearing, not about salvation. It's not saying that salvation can be lost.
To abide in Christ, abide in His word. When you have God's word in you by meditating on and hearing it, you are abiding in Christ.
The Lord doesn't want us to go from declaring God's promises one day, and the next day getting angry, fed up, discouraged, staring daggers at your spouse and the like.
Don't be a double-minded person - that's not abiding in Christ.

““I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:5-8 NIV)

The Lord knows what thoughts the devil and the world will try to plant in your heart.
The devil will attack you in this area: he will say that others are favored and you are not.
The negative reports and words are not your own. Reject them.
Have this revelation: The Lord's words are eternal. His words can never fail.

To abide in Christ, abide in His word. When you have God's word in you by meditating on and hearing it, you are abiding in Christ.

John 15:9-10 - How do we keep God's commandments to abide in His love?

““As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” (John 15:9-10 NKJV)

I John 3:23 - This is God's commandment to us - it's simply to believe in the name of Jesus Christ and love one another. By doing so, we are abiding in Christ's love.

“And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.” (I John 3:23 NKJV)

I John 4:16 - To believe in the love that God has for us is to RELY on it. By relying on Jesus, we can have intimacy with Him.
Start practicing with the small things. Rely on God's Shalom peace and wisdom. Practice His presence. Allow Jesus to be your love, your patience, your wisdom.
Allow the eternal word and Vine life to impact your internal, and change your external.
If we treat Jesus and God's words like a fairy tale that isn't real, we don't have the Vine life flowing in us.
Without the Vine life flowing in us, there will be death in areas of our lives.
When you truly know and believe in the love that the King of Heaven has for you, you will have life and life more abundantly. Life will be beautiful!

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (I John 4:16 NKJV)

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” (1 John 4:16 NIV)

Isaiah 59:19 - It is much easier to abide in Christ when times are good. The time where you truly need to abide in Christ is in the times where the enemy comes in like a flood.
A standard is a conspicuous object (as a banner) formerly carried at the top of a pole and used to mark a rallying point especially in battle or to serve as an emblem.
The power of God is Christ crucified. Jesus took the crown of thorns, He took the beatings for us. Every beating and every punishment was taken for us.
We should judge our favor by what Jesus has done for us at the cross.
The Son of God became the Son of Man, so that we can become sons and daughters of God!
Every time the enemy comes in like a flood, point the enemy to the cross, and see Jesus bearing it all for us.
We will SURELY see our victory, no matter how long it takes.

“So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV)
