8 October 2014 - Reinhard Bonnke's School of Evangelism - Christ For All Nations - Day Three7/10/2014 8 October 2014 - Reinhard Bonnke's School of Evangelism - Christ For All Nations - Day ThreeReinhard Bonnke: Signs and Wonders ================================== The Old Testament and New Testament in the Bible are closely linked. We would never understand the whole truth of Christianity without the Old Testament. We Christians do not Hebrew-ize the New Testament, but we Christian-ize the Old Testament, just as Jesus, of whom we read in Luke 24:27. "And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself." (Luke 24:27 NKJV) Acts 1:8 - The Great Commission to us believers of all generations found in Acts. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”" (Acts 1:8 NKJV) Matthew 3:11 - Jesus came to baptise us in the Holy Spirit and to empower us to do God's work. "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (Matthew 3:11 NKJV) Acts 2:1-4 - The wind of the Holy Spirit blows in first to blow out the ash and trash, before the fire comes. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, a sign of it is speaking in heavenly tongues. The tongue of fire connects to the tongue of flesh, giving us the power to preach. All believers can receive powerful anointing, and it is not a game of lottery. It is for ALL. "When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4 NKJV) We are not copies of copies. We are originals from the Original Creator. Flies only land on a cold stove. Get on fire with the Holy Spirit and no dirty demon will dare to lay its finger on you. Our God is not a duplicator. He is a Creator. Every creation is an original. God's mind is too fertile to make copies. Do not wish for the anointing of another person. There is a fire with your own name on it. You will get the anointing that The Lord wants you to have. It will be unique. My flame bears my name! Whether our flame is big or small, we carry the same authority in the name of Jesus! Powerful analogy: A little traffic police lady can stop a mega huge truck with her sign, because her authority is in the entire state backing her up, not based on her own strength. John 14:16-17 - We don't have to plead Jesus and the Holy Spirit to come, because God never leaves you. Change your unscriptural prayer, and thank God for the lasting presence instead. Jesus Himself prays for us. "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." (John 14:16-17 NKJV) With one flame, you have authority over every demon on earth. You don't need a new anointing - don't feel inadequate. You have everything you need! Our feelings fluctuate. The devils lies to us using words and feelings. Prayer for Presence: "Lord, I can't feel Your presence. But Your word says "You abide with me forever" and I appropriate Your presence by faith, in Jesus's name. Amen!" Don't go by the gauge of feelings, go by the gauge of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is always fully present. No person appears in percentages. The Holy Spirit needs a temple to express Himself in this world. We are His temples. Every miracle of God is done by the Holy Spirit. If you are washed in the blood of Jesus, that is the only requirement to make us qualified to receive the glorious baptism of fire (The Holy Spirit). Our weaknesses do not repel the Holy Spirit. Our weaknesses attract the Holy Spirit! The gift of the Holy Spirit is a present, not a prize. We need power at the beginning of the marathon, in order to run the race successfully, not at the end of the marathon. Jesus qualifies us with His blood lovingly and freely. The Holy Spirit is already here. We gather unto Him. Faith is not begging and pleading. It is a matter of happily collecting what God already promised to you. He loves and wants to give it to you. Reinhard Bonnke, Daniel Kolenda, Peter Van Den Berg: Q&A Session ============================================================= The Holy Spirit makes the Word of God alive. Signs and wonders are pointing towards God, not to the saints. All glory must go to God. If we preach the original gospel, you will get the original results. When receiving the Holy Spirit, there is only one Source: Jesus Christ. When we lay hands on another believer, we form an eternal connection of which Source is Jesus, that runs from generation to generation. We are not healing evangelists, we are salvation evangelists. But we do pray for the sick. After prayer, the ones prayed for are asked to check themselves to see the results of prayer. To confirm a healing testimony, ask a relative with the healed person to both share and verify the story. If someone is not healed, don't make it look as though they are healed. Pray again instead. Jesus never fails! When God speaks to you, it may seem like a thought that was never in your mind suddenly appears in there. Sometimes we have to wait for God's answer because it doesn't always come immediately. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are all supernatural. We are not restricted to only one gift of the Holy Spirit. Different gifts arise during different times of need. We can serve in all different cultures. But first, we must cast the devil out. Never forget that our main aim as an evangelist is to break chains, not to split hairs. Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven. He did that because He loves us and wants to warn us, not because He wants to threaten us. We learn by contrast. People will not know what light is if they don't know what darkness is. The call of God is not just limited to pastoral, evangelical, etc. roles. The call of God on Holy Spirit-filled believers requires sacrifice. The Kingdom of God has two problems: how to find the right co-workers, and how to get rid of the wrong ones. A family should pray together and stay together, by the grace of God. If your family, father or mother rejects you, Jesus will never reject you. Follow Jesus! He will follow you too. All power is from Jesus, not us. We must never exalt ourselves, but instead give all the glory to God. The Holy Spirit keeps us going for God. He gives us power and strength. We rely on His supply. The power switch in the ministry is FAITH. Fasting is for us to draw closer to God, not for power. Move in faith, and power will flow. If God has not spoken, it is presumptuous to act. If God has spoken, it is presumptuous not to act. If God has spoken, He will be faithful to honor His word. Angels do not move slowly, they are more than lightning-fast! CFAN wants to see people saved, made into disciples and put into churches. Start preaching and evangelising on a small scale. The Lord will honor it and will honor you. He will bless you and He is the Lifter of your head. Daniel Kolenda: Integrity ====================== Asia is a massive end-times harvest field. For there to be a harvest, there has to be harvest-workers. God is raising us up and it is our great privilege to be part of history and to bring Him glory. There is no greater calling than being called by God to preach the gospel. 2 Samuel 23:11-12 - Shammah understood warfare. He understood that the battle was not a random one, but it was probably strategic. We fight the battles, and The Lord gives us the victories. "And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines. But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory." (II Samuel 23:11-12 NKJV) God has called us, and He wants to fill us, equip us, and to use us for His glory! The devil also has a plan for our lives - to steal, to kill and to destroy what we have, and to make us unfruitful. To protect us from the devil, we have to guard our integrity. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? We need to keep our integrity, to be great ambassadors of Christ. Better is the end of a thing, than the beginning thereof. It's much better to end well than to start well. When the devil comes to assault your life, he will not begin by attacking the area of your life that you're very careful to guard. He looks for an area of your life that you feel is not so important and that you compromise in. He will take that area of your life and establish a stronghold there, and use that as a strategic point to attack all areas of your life. Integrity means watching over the small things in your life, even as much as you watch over the big things in your life. Instead of living our lives by seeing how we near we could come to the cliff of sin without falling over, we should live our lives on a totally different standard. By deciding to serve The Lord in the public arena, we have to decide to sacrifice some things and freedoms in our life, for the sake of the call on some our lives to be ministers of the gospel. We have no rights. We are not our own, we were bought with a price by the blood of Jesus. We should be constantly looking to raise our standards, especially for us who have been called to be ministers of the gospel. Suzanna Wesley: "When considering what is lawful or unlawful to you, this is the rule: Whatever weakens your reason, whatever impairs the tenderness of your conscience, whatever obscures your relationship with God, whatever takes away the relish of spiritual things, that to you, is sin." Job 27:3-6 - We cannot live a life of integrity by accident. It has to be decided and then fought for and guarded. "As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils, My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit. Far be it from me That I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live." (Job 27:3-6 NKJV) Having integrity means doing the right things even if you have to stand alone. Having integrity means doing the right things even when nobody is watching. Luke 12:2 - Character is being the same person even when no one is watching. The opposite is hypocrisy. "For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops." (Luke 12:2-3 NKJV) Psalms 14:1 - How you live when you are alone shows what you really believe. Many believers lives as though there is no God. "The fool has said in his heart, “ There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good." (Psalms 14:1 NKJV) A seed planted in the ground will grow and eventually seen. Sin often begins as a little pet, and as it is fed, it grows bigger and hungrier, and in the end it becomes a monster that will overpower you and kill you. A big sin begins by small compromises here and there that accumulate over time. The devil is very patient. Either the devil destroys you through the stronghold he has erected, or you destroy the stronghold first. Psalms 37:37-38 - We must pray to God to help us mind in the beginning, what happens at the end. What is your "ultimate end" (Hebrew word; Akarit) if you carry on doing what you are doing now? "Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off." (Psalms 37:37-38 NKJV) What makes a man is something you don't see. Ephesians 4:1 - We are called to walk worthily in God's calling on our lives! "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called," (Ephesians 4:1 NKJV) Dr. Chauncey Crandall (Cardiologist): Prayer and Intercession ================================================== Most believers have given their hearts to Jesus, but not all have given their lives to Him. 1 Timothy 2 - We must pray for all kings, nations and people because we have the power of God inside us. "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time," (I Timothy 2:1-6 NKJV) When will we decide to give our lives to Jesus? As a believer, there's always more to learn if we enter into the fullness of Christ. As a believer, we should not live by sight, by hearing, or by feelings, but by the Word of God. We fight a spiritual battle, and our enemies are not of flesh and blood, but of darkness in high places. An instruction from God to Dr. Chauncey: Pray to receive people with the most difficult personalities at your work so that you can see the glory of the Lord. The devil likes to put roadblocks to prevent your loved ones and friends from receiving salvation. You need to push through boldly in prayer. For believers working in the secular world, God wants to bless and elevate us to achieve the highest levels so that we are a person of influence in the community. Then Holy Spirit takes over and leads to salvations. If we lead someone to Jesus, we need to connect them to a church to ensure that they grow in the Lord. Intercession Prayer Model: Praise the Lord first, then pray for your needs, then praise the Lord again for self-rejuvenation.
