God's heart is for His people to go into rest. Stop depending on self-effort - rest in what Jesus our Good Shepherd has done for us! We need to keep hearing and hearing the word of God. The key is to let the truth sink into your header and to live it out. Some people study the Bible so much but they miss out the most important part - our Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus is preached, provision always comes. God's heart is all about His Son. The key is Jesus. When you have Jesus, you have everything!
When you preach the pure gospel, there will always be persecution.
John 5:39-40 - When we read the Bible, it's not about what we do or what we can gain - it's always about Jesus. We need to be searching for Jesus in the Bible. When you touch Jesus, you touch the eternal. The Lord Jesus is more concerned about you coming to Him than what you can do for Him. “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” (John 5:39-40 NKJV)

The Way to Detox our SoulThe only Being who knows everything about you, loves you. God is not going to measure you by all the good deeds that you do. You are where you are because of His grace. Our own righteousness is like filthy rags to God. You are measured by how much you know about Jesus. The more Jesus you know, the more grace is multiplied to you. We are not perfect - there is no perfect family or marriage on earth. The cross demonstrates God's heart for us. His love for us is constant and never changes. Unhealthy relationships and marriages result from expectations placed upon others that they cannot meet. God knows that we are not perfect. He wants us to know that He still wants to forgive, love and accept us. We want to be good, but we don't have the ability to do good by ourselves. Instead, by seeing how good God is, we ourselves are empowered to be good. God wants to detox our soul (our mind, will and emotions). How does He do it? By the forgiveness of our sins. When we have Jesus, sin will be out of our lives. We cannot help ourselves or settle our own problems by ourselves. We need to come to God to receive life. Colossians 2:6-7 - Don't walk in yourself. Don't walk by your emotions. Walk looking at Jesus. Once you are rooted in Jesus, sin will not have dominion over you. By receiving and confessing Jesus as your righteousness and holiness even when you fail, that's how you walk in Jesus. "Rooted" is an analogy of a tree. Give yourself time to produce the fruits of holiness and righteousness. Just keep walking in Jesus. “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV)

The Flesh versus the SpiritBy focusing on how much we have been forgiven, we are empowered to forgive others. We need Jesus' help to forgive others. Under grace, we don't have to pretend to be good. We know the truth. In heaven there's no good people, only forgiven people. Your degree will never guarantee a good future. Only the Lord Jesus can guarantee you a good future. Living in the flesh will always cause one to have a spirit of comparison. It causes one to feel lousy. The flesh is the part of you that wants to sin and wants to do wrong. It is not you. You are a new creation in Christ. Galatians 5:24 - We have a tendency to think that we are our emotions and feelings. That leads to feelings of condemnation. No we are righteous. Jesus has paid the price for our righteousness. “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24 NKJV) Hebrews 4:15 - Jesus understands what we are going through. “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15 NKJV) Hebrews 6:19 - Jesus is not the Anchor of our body. He is the Anchor of our soul - our emotions, will and mind. When our emotions are in turmoil, focusing on Jesus will stabilize us. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,” (Hebrews 6:19 NKJV) Galatians 5:16 - Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. We need to keep hearing and hearing about Jesus. “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16 NKJV)
