If you attempt to live right but have wrong believing, you can't do it. If you are experiencing toxic emotions, it shows that there is wrong believing somewhere. Our beliefs determine our thoughts, our thoughts determine our emotions and our emotions determine our actions. It doesn't take the anointing to preach the Law. It takes the Holy Spirit's anointing to preach grace. John 3 - About Nicodemus, the "master of Israel". Jesus talked to Nicodemus like a theologian, and yet He told Nicodemus that he needed to be born again. John 4 - About the sinner woman. Jesus never told her that she needed to be born again. He used natural illustrations to talk to her. Jesus revealed Himself as the Messiah to the woman. You will never know that you are loved until the person knows everything about you and still says "I love you". Christianity is not about behavior modification. It's about heart transformation. We are saved and justified without works, but by faith. The Law presupposes man's strength. God knew that man cannot keep the Law. The Law is all about "you shall not". The New Covenant of grace is all about "I will" - it's about who God is and what He will do. God dealt with Israel by grace when He brought them out from Egypt. When Israel was given the Law, they immediately broke the first commandment - they made and worshipped the golden calf. The Law caused man to boast in his own strength and it led to sin.
Confess every morning: "I am the righteousness of God in Christ".
Everything in heaven works by faith. Faith is the currency of heaven. When you're sick you confess health. When you're in financial need, confess provision. When you sin, confess your righteousness - "I am the righteousness of God in Christ!" Even when you are in the midst of sin, example: watching pornography, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. The devil will tell you that you're a hypocrite, but confess your righteousness anyway! Where sin increases, grace superabounds. The more sin you see happening, take heart because that means that even more grace is available there. It's a serious offence to misrepresent God to the lost. Look at Moses - he struck the rock and was not allowed to bring Israel into the Promised Land. God doesn't like it when we make Him look more stern than He is. There is healing in knowing that we are loved. Many people fall sick due to feelings of condemnation and feeling like God is judging you or punishing you. Many times Jesus would say "Your sins are forgiven you..." before He says "rise, take up your bed and walk." You need to first know that your sins are forgiven before you can be healed. Never judge your standing by your behavior. Always judge your behavior by your standing. You are loved and you are the righteousness of God in Christ. Perfect love casts out all fear. This verse is not about us. The only One who is Perfect Love is God. He will cast out all fear. If you are worried that you have committed the unpardonable sin, then don't worry, you have not committed it.

Pastor Lawrence Lim begins his sermon here: If you need financial providence, God will not give you something different from that. He is very specific when He gives. It is His good pleasure to give you the kingdom. When God planted Adam in the garden, He told Adam, "Of every tree in the garden, you may FREELY eat". That demonstrates the generosity of our Heavenly Father. Many times we don't ask God for what we need. You have not because you ask not. We cannot earn or deserve God's blessings - it's is by His grace. We only need to believe and receiving from Him. Luke 4:16-19 - It is a custom of the Jews to read a passage from the Torah on the Sabbath. It's called the parashah. Jesus read from Isaiah 61. He is the Anointed One. Jesus added to Isaiah 61:1 saying that He will bring recovery of sight to the blind. He can add to the word of God because He wrote it. He said that because He wanted Israel to know that He is the Messiah. Recovery of sight to the blind is the only thing that can be verified. You can either see or you can't. “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”” (Luke 4:16-19 NKJV) Isaiah 61:1-2 - Jesus omitted the vengeance of the Lord when He read from Isaiah 61 because He rightly divided the word. Jesus came to usher in the Acceptable Day of the Lord, not the Judgment of God. The judgment will come during the Second Coming of the Lord. ““The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,” (Isaiah 61:1-2 NKJV) This year is the Year of Jubilee. Don't be discouraged by what you have seen in the past 5 months. This is the year of your breakthrough and freedom. John 4:4 - Jesus went because there was someone there that needed Him. Jesus left the comfort of heaven to come to earth and suffered the cruel cross because we need Him. The sinner woman came to the well during the hot time of the day because she didn't want to meet other people there. She was hiding. The sinner woman was committing adultery, but Jesus treated her with grace. When she encountered the grace of God, she was transformed. Sin will not have dominion over you when you are under grace. “But He needed to go through Samaria.” (John 4:4 NKJV) We already know what's right and wrong. But do you have the power to do what's right and not do what is wrong? For those of you who are married, here's a secret: you cannot change your spouse. Another secret: You cannot change yourself. Whatever change that comes from your own willpower, it's not going to last. The true transformation comes from God, and you won't even realize it. True change and transformation can only come through Jesus. What can you do? Nothing! Work to enter into His rest. Labor not to work. We cannot do anything because it's not about us. Trust Jesus and have perfect faith in Him. He will carry you through. Receive Jesus' love and enjoy His grace. When you receive His love you will be transformed. When you receive the unmerited favor of God, you will be empowered to live a holy life. You cannot teach others how to love holy lives. Preach grace to them and grace will teach them how to live a holy life. We are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. The emphasis is on His LOVE for us. Every word is there for a reason. There is nothing we need to do but believe that Jesus loves us. Zaccheaus as a chief tax collector was considered by Israel as the worst of sinners. But Jesus extended love and grace to Zaccheaus without a single word of condemnation. The result? Zaccheaus opened his heart and wallet. Zaccheaus didn't do anything to change. He received God's love. We're not looking for behavior modification, we're looking for true heart transformation.

Matthew 22:35-40 - They didn't respect Jesus as God. They called Him teacher. Do we need to fulfill these two commandments today? No. “Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”” (Matthew 22:35-40 NKJV) John 13:34 - Jesus gave us a new commandment. It's not about us loving God, it's about God loving us. The emphasize has changed. It's about His love for us, not about our love for Him. The five words "as I have loved you" is what changes everything and makes it possible for us to love one another. The power to love comes from receiving Jesus' love for us. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34 NKJV) Matthew 6:15 - This is under the Law. “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:15 NKJV) Ephesians 4:32 - There has been a change. We have already been forgiven! “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32 NKJV) The reason why you can love your wife is because you know that Jesus loves you. The reason why you can submit to your husband is because you know that Jesus loves you. The Law was meant to give man the knowledge of sin. The Scripture says that the strength of sin is the Law. Today we're not here to talk about what you have done or not done. We're to talk about what Jesus has done. If you have an addiction, don't confess your addiction. Confess: "By His grace, I have the victory." The power to overcome is by His grace. Put off the old man and put on the new man. Believe that you are now a good man in Christ. If you don't believe it, be ready to walk one more round in the wilderness. Mark 4:24-25 - Hear and more will be given to you. The emphasis is on hearing. Hearing what? The gospel of grace. “Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”” (Mark 4:24-25 NKJV) At the cross, blood and water flowed out from Jesus' side when He was pierce by a spear. Medical doctors will tell you that that happens due to a ruptured heart. Jesus' heart literally broke for us. Jesus loved us with all His heart.
