10 September 2017 - Praying in Tongues: The Weapon that Builds You Up - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineSynopsis: Pastor Joseph Prince focused on one benefit of the gift of praying in tongues: it builds us up, especially our body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Keep using this heavenly gift which banishes fear, anxiety, addictions, depression, sickness and more! We are living in increasingly dangerous times, thereby leading us to feel stressed, anxious and worried. We don't know if there will be a world war three before Jesus comes back. But one thing is for sure: we need to know the promises of Psalm 91. There is a place in Christ that we can be protected. Acts 2:1-4 - On the birthday of the church, the first present that God gave them is a prayer language. The Law was also given on the Day of Pentecost and there was fire on Mount Sinai. When the Holy Spirit came, He also came as tongues of fire. When the Law was given, 3000 people died. When the Holy Spirit came, Peter preached and 3000 people were saved. The letter (the Law) kills but the Spirit gives life. “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4 NKJV) The Father always loved His Son Jesus. Jesus obeyed the Father perfectly. The book of Isaiah says that it pleased the Father to crush Jesus at the cross because of His great love for us. The Law demands righteousness from man, whereas Grace supplies righteousness to man. Acts 2:11-13 - It's no longer about how bad man is, but about how good God is. It's no longer about the puny works of man, but about the wonderful works of God. When you pray in tongues, you are proclaiming the wonderful works of God and enlarging your spirit. “Cretans and Arabs--we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?” Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”” (Acts 2:11-13 NKJV)

3 September 2017 - MegaFest 2017 ManPower Session - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineAll Scripture is inspired of God, but not every word in Scripture is the Gospel. Exodus 21:1-6 - After God gave the Ten Commandments, He gave a statute about bondservants. The Bondservant refers to our Lord Jesus. Jesus could have returned to Heaven at any time without us, but He chose to stay and die at the cross, in full submission to the will of the Father. Jesus is still the divine servant today. When John saw him in a vision, Jesus was wearing a golden girdle (servants wore a girdle). ““Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them: If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing. If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself. But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.” (Exodus 21:1-6 NKJV) After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus and expounded to all things concerning Himself. He restrained their eyes from recognizing Him in person because He wanted to give us all an equal opportunity to see Him in the word of God. The disciples said between themselves, "Did not our hearts burn...". A ministry from the Lord will lead to burning hearts. The Greek translation says: Faith comes by hearing and hearing the spoken word of Christ (rhematos Christou). 27 August 2017 - The Truth About Tithing in the New Testament - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineYou don't have to wait for the word of knowledge or gifts of healings to flow in order to be healed. That's not the norm. The norm is to be healed as you read/listen to the word of God on your own. Create that spirit of expectancy in your heart when you're receiving prayer for divine healing. The anointing oil is also a way to be healed. Positive thinking is good but it will not bring you the miracle of God. You need a point of contact with Jesus, like all the ways mentioned above. The priests in the Old Testament were busy, busy, busy and their work was never done. However, Jesus, with one sacrifice, sat down at the right hand of the Father forever. Our Father does not desire burnt offerings like in the Old Covenant - that's just a shadow of the substance. Jesus' finished work at the cross is the substance. All our sins have been forgiven by that one work on the cross. God is not confined in time and space. God looks at our entire life and sees that our sins have been removed. Foundations of Christianity:
When believers die, they feel even more alive and will be perpetually happy. The encumbrance of the flesh is gone. When Jesus died, I died with Him. When Jesus rose from the dead, I rose with Him. When Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father, I sat down with Him. That's true Christianity. 20 August 2017 - How to Finally Get Your Long-Awaited Healing - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineThe imagery of shepherd and flock in the Bible promotes healing. When a pastor sees the congregation as the Good Shepherd's flock, they receive healing. The number one imagery of Jesus in the Bible is as a Good Shepherd. Don't find fault with people who fall sick. Even a fit person can get sick. See sick people as children who have fallen into a pit. The priority is to get them out. "Pit" has the idea of an enemy who has set up a trap. Sickness comes because of a spiritual attack. I Peter 2:24-25 - The emphasis is not on the work of healing but on the Person of Jesus - "Who his own self... in his own body..." The Holy Spirit emphasizes the Person because the benefits lie with Jesus. You want to experience the benefits of the finished work? Go to Jesus! When you believe that you are righteous, the promise of "by whose stripes ye were healed" is yours. The word "stripes" here should be translated as "stripe" (the Greek uses the singular tense) because there was not even a sliver of skin left on Jesus' back. When you receive Jesus' skin by faith, you receive His radiance, complexion and healing. “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:24-25 KJV) 6 August 2017 - See the Price God Paid for Your Healing and Receive It with a Merry Heart - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWhen you read about destroying enemies in the Old Testament, you have to apply that in your life today as spiritual enemies, such as sickness and disease. Animal sacrifices are killed in a humane way with the least possible suffering. However our Lord Jesus suffered pain before He died bodily (not spiritually) on the cross. He bore all our sins and pains in His body. The animal sacrifices are flayed (skin removed) after they are killed before they are placed on the altar. Jesus was scourged and the skin His back was all gone as well before He went on the cross. Jesus could feel physical pain. Deuteronomy 25:1-3 - Jesus was scourged using the Roman flagellum (aka cat o' nine tails). It is a octopus-like whip with many hooks, shards of bone, etc that latch onto the victim's back and when it is pulled out, the flesh of the victim is ripped out along with it. The cat o' nine tails hits the victim's back about 9 times with each blow. Jesus was beaten 40 blows with this. ““If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked, then it shall be, if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, that the judge will cause him to lie down and be beaten in his presence, according to his guilt, with a certain number of blows. Forty blows he may give him and no more, lest he should exceed this and beat him with many blows above these, and your brother be humiliated in your sight.” (Deuteronomy 25:1-3 NKJV) Isaiah 53:4-6 - By Jesus' stripes we are healed! "Griefs" in Hebrew is "kholee" which means diseases. Kholee is a noun. The root word "Khalah" means to be worn down in strength. For example: the devil shoots you something that makes you worry and it makes you tired. "Sorrows" in Hebrews is "makob" which means pain. Jesus bore our diseases and carried our pains. The root word of heal "rapha" means to rest. The secret to receiving healing is to be restful. If you're handling an issue that wears you out in strength, then you're not supposed to be handling it - It's not God's will for you. For wives, if you want to tell/request your husband about something, wait till he's smiling, refreshed and recharged before doing so. Don't approach him when he's worn out in strength - you don't want to hear what he has to say to you and he doesn't mean it. “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-6 NKJV) 30 July 2017 - See Through Jesus' Eyes: A Child Who Has Fallen Into a Well - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineIf you have been confessing healing, health and finances but you are seeing no results yet, listen to the Holy Spirit's prompting in you. Maybe He has been telling you something that you have been ignoring. God sanctioned the children of Israel in the past to eat animals that chew the cud and have cloven feet - that was considered healthy for them. What it means for us today is that you should feed from ministries that meditate on God's word and rightly divide the word in their walk. Even though we're surrounded by the culture of the world who try to condemn us for saying what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong, we don't have to be affected by what they say. Even though the world is under subjugation and the devil is ruling the world, we believers can still walk in victory. When Jesus comes back to rule on earth during the Millennium, there will be no more poverty, sickness, and natural people who die at the age of 100+ will be considered to have died as young as an infant. Yes after we are saved we are meant to share the gospel and get people saved, but that's not the purpose of life. God wants us to live life, and our lives will bear witness to God. It's useless to try to convince or answer your critics. By trying that, you're actually giving weight to what they're saying. Just ignore them. Some people are just sent to oppose you. Judas will always be Judas. You don't have to be a theologian to be able to understand the Bible. The Holy Spirit can speak to you and give you a rhema word specifically for your situation today. The word of God has a voice that speaks to you. 23 July 2017 - Boasting in Our Weakness Attracts the Grace of God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineRainfall is a sign of God's blessings. Famine is a sign of His judgement. There is a wave of fresh unmerited favor coming towards you everyday when you wake up. Wave after wave of undeterred, unabated blessings are coming towards you. It doesn't come by fasting or doing something. It's not by earning it, it's by grace! We are standing on righteous ground. When you worry about a particular area of your life, you are constricting God's supply in that area. It's like blocking God's pipes of supply. We have lots of grace in areas that we don't worry about. Let go of your worries and let God take over - He will provide the supply! John 1:16 - Grace for grace is "Grace anti grace". Anti doesn't only mean against. It also means in place of.After we use up one wave of grace, a wave of fresh grace comes in its place! The more you try to make grace flow, you are spoiling the grace that is already available. When your prayer is desperate, it's frustrating the grace of God. Your prayer should be just affirming and declaring the grace that is already flowing. “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16 NKJV) God is constantly supplying us with the Holy Spirit. We can't leak and run out of the Holy Spirit. It is not faith to cry out to God and ask Him to do something that He is already doing. 16 July 2017 - The Secret to Having Increased Favor in Your Life - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineGrace should not be an article of your teaching. It should be the principle of your life! Galatians 1:6-9 - The grace of Christ is the only true gospel. Any other gospel is untrue. “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9 NKJV) John 1:14 - Grace is not a subject. Grace is the Person of Jesus Christ. Grace and truth is "Hesed ve Emet" in Hebrew. God is restoring the gospel. It is not just restored to the original condition. It is made even better. The news doesn't tell you what God is doing in the world, but God is doing a great thing! “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NKJV) Don't envy financially rich people. We have joy unspeakable. We have great promises for this life and in the life to come. Don't waste time envying things that don't have true value. Only God can give you favor. Many Christian programs shut down because there is no favor. Favor can be increased in our lives and it can also be frustrated. Honesty alone doesn't bring favor. There are honest people who don't have favor in their lives. Sometimes homemakers do things that are more significant and have more eternal consequences than people who work a job. They are shaping lives for this life and for eternity. Why not ask God for increased favor, starting in your family? 9 July 2017 - MegaFest 2017: Woman Thou Art Loosed - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineAll Jesus needs is our consent for Him to love us and let His power flow within us. That is called repentance. The first mention of tears in the Old Testament is of the tears of a woman. The first mention of tears in the New Testament is also the tears of a woman. God hears your cry. Ever since Adam partook of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he developed a conscience. Only when you know that there is a righteous foundation for your forgiveness and righteousness, then can you enjoy it with a clear conscience. John 1:17 - The Law was given from a distance, but grace came near and close through Jesus Christ. The Law is true, but it is not the truth. Grace is the truth that sets us free! “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17 NKJV) The gospel is not about right doing, it is about right believing! Jesus our High Priest is not there to find fault with us to the Father but He is there to represent us! The High Priest represents the nation to God, whereas a prophet represents God to people. If the High Priest is good, then the people are seen as righteous. If the High Priest is bad, then the people can look forward to a bad year ahead. I John 4:17 - This verse doesn't say "as He was", it is "as He IS"! Jesus is currently crowned with all glory and power, far above all dominion. The Bible says we are transformed by beholding, not by performing. Whenever you behold Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit goes to work and transforms us as we behold Jesus. When Peter saw Jesus above the storm and above the waves, he became like Jesus. He could walk on water. When you look at Jesus, the Holy Spirit makes you like Jesus. To the level that you are self-occupied, to that degree is your pain. The devil points you to yourself, whereas the Holy Spirit points you to Jesus. The gospel is not about us, it's about Him - our Lord Jesus Christ. “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world." (I John 4:17 NKJV) Jesus has come to wash our feet. In our vertical relationship with Jesus, it is more blessed for us to receive than to give. However in our horizontal relationship with others, it is more blessed to give than to receive. There are two sisters in the Bible: Mary and Martha. Which sister made Jesus feel like God? It is Mary - she did the one needful thing: sit at His feet and receive from Him. After Mary received from Jesus, Jesus was refreshed! When you take from man, you deplete from him, but when you take from the Lord, you reinvigorate Him! Jesus' most often inditement to His disciples is "you of little faith". Faith is taking from Jesus. Why do you take so little when Jesus is so full of inexhaustible goodness? 18 June 2017 - The Role of a Father - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlinePastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes begins here: Fathers are called to sacrifice, serve and lay aside their own desires. Fathers are here to serve, not to be served. If anyone in the family needs to give in, it has to be the father. Sometimes your children's 'love tank' will get low - let you as their father be the one to fill it. When you have no love left of your own, still be the one to fill it. A holiday with the family is really fathering - you have to juggle looking out for your children's safety and giving them your attention at the same time. When your eyes are on the Lord, your fathering and performance as a husband will be better than usual. |
