All Jesus needs is our consent for Him to love us and let His power flow within us. That is called repentance.

The first mention of tears in the Old Testament is of the tears of a woman. The first mention of tears in the New Testament is also the tears of a woman.
God hears your cry.

Ever since Adam partook of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he developed a conscience.

Only when you know that there is a righteous foundation for your forgiveness and righteousness, then can you enjoy it with a clear conscience.

John 1:17 - The Law was given from a distance, but grace came near and close through Jesus Christ.
The Law is true, but it is not the truth. Grace is the truth that sets us free!

“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
(John 1:17 NKJV)

The gospel is not about right doing, it is about right believing!

Jesus our High Priest is not there to find fault with us to the Father but He is there to represent us!
The High Priest represents the nation to God, whereas a prophet represents God to people.
If the High Priest is good, then the people are seen as righteous.
If the High Priest is bad, then the people can look forward to a bad year ahead.

I John 4:17 - This verse doesn't say "as He was", it is "as He IS"! Jesus is currently crowned with all glory and power, far above all dominion.
The Bible says we are transformed by beholding, not by performing.
Whenever you behold Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit goes to work and transforms us as we behold Jesus.
When Peter saw Jesus above the storm and above the waves, he became like Jesus. He could walk on water.
When you look at Jesus, the Holy Spirit makes you like Jesus.
To the level that you are self-occupied, to that degree is your pain.
The devil points you to yourself, whereas the Holy Spirit points you to Jesus.
The gospel is not about us, it's about Him - our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world." (I John 4:17 NKJV)

Jesus has come to wash our feet. In our vertical relationship with Jesus, it is more blessed for us to receive than to give.
However in our horizontal relationship with others, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
There are two sisters in the Bible: Mary and Martha. Which sister made Jesus feel like God?
It is Mary - she did the one needful thing: sit at His feet and receive from Him.
After Mary received from Jesus, Jesus was refreshed!
When you take from man, you deplete from him, but when you take from the Lord, you reinvigorate Him!

Jesus' most often inditement to His disciples is "you of little faith". Faith is taking from Jesus.
Why do you take so little when Jesus is so full of inexhaustible goodness?

In the Old Testament, people had to repent first before God will bless them.
In the New Testament, God blesses you first and His goodness leads you to repentance.

God has anger, but there is no verse that says "God is rich in anger". However there are verses that say that He is rich in mercy.

Grace is the Person of Jesus Christ. When you touch Jesus, you touch grace!

The devil wants you to look at yourself, but God wants you to look at Jesus.

Jesus fulfilled the Law. There is no need to continue paying after your payments have already been fulfilled!

Gift of No Condemnation!

From Egypt to Sinai not a single child of Israel died, even though they murmured and complained.
Every fresh murmuring brought forth fresh demonstrations of God's grace.
When didn't anyone die? It has nothing to do with the children of Israel's faithfulness, it has everything to do with God's faithfulness! It was a period of pure grace.
At Mount Sinai, the children of Israel meant this to God: "All that you have asked we are able to do. Bless us based on our goodness and not based on Your goodness."
From that moment on, God changed how He dealt with them.
From then on, when the children of Israel murmured and complained, they dropped dead.

The Law is like a mirror. It is inflexibly true. It is faithful.
The Law is holy and righteous but it cannot impart holiness or righteousness to you.
The Law is the knowledge of sin.

There are two times when Jesus said that someone had great faith: The centurion and the Sido-Phoenician woman.
The two of them didn't know the Law, and they were not under the Law. They were only conscious of Jesus.
The Law will rob you of faith and make you introspective.

Romans 8:1 - When you have no sins to condemn you of, why would God need to condemn you?
God knows that we don't have it all together.

“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1 NASB)

John 8:3-12 - They threw a woman caught in the act of adultery at Jesus' feet and tested Jesus to see what He would do.
They were not trying to uphold God's law. They were trying to catch Jesus.
The Bible says that Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground made of stone with His finger.
When God first wrote the Ten Commandments, He did it on stones.
Jesus wrote on stone as if to say -
"You presume to tell Me about the Law when I was the One who wrote the Law? Let me give you the full light of the Law!"
In fact, Jesus said stone the woman, but the one without sin should throw the first stone.
The Pharisees would stone her, but they could not. Jesus could stone her, but He would not.
Jesus did not compromise the Law.
One by one the Pharisees left, leaving the woman alone with her Savior.
Jesus said "neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more".
Unfortunately the church has got it in reverse - they preach to go and sin no more first and then they will not be condemned.
God wants us to know that we have the gift of no condemnation.
Only when people know that there's no condemnation from God, then can they go and sin no more.
As the woman walked away, Jesus said to the Father, "Put that on my account, I will have to pay for it".

“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”” (John 8:3-12 NKJV)

Galatians 5:4 - The two tablets of the Ten Commandments is placed under the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Covenant.
When you put yourself under the Law, you are falling from grace. Grace is higher ground!

“You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.” (Galatians 5:4 NKJV)

The Pharisees would stone her, but they could not. Jesus could stone her, but He would not. God wants us to know that we have the gift of condemnation. Only when people know that there's no condemnation from God, then can they go and sin no more.

Woman Thou Art Loosed!

God has not gone soft on sin. There is now no condemnation for us because more than 2000 years ago, Jesus hung alone on the cross and absorbed every stroke of God's judgment on our behalf in His own body.
Your sins did not escape. They were already punished in Jesus' body.
In the courts of law, there is something called "The Law of Double Jeopardy" - If God condemns you today, He would be unrighteous.
Because Jesus was condemned, you cannot be condemned.
A great mystery: As Father, He was never more proud and happy of Jesus than when Jesus hung on the cross.
But as God, He turned His back on Jesus while Jesus hung on the cross.

Did Jesus deserve to become a curse at the cross? No, He received our curse. How did we become righteous? By receiving Jesus' righteousnesss.
Jesus cried "My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?", so that we can say today "My Father, My Father, why have you so blessed me?"

There is a medical condition whereby when a person is in great duress, the blood capillaries burst and blood comes out from the pores.
The very thought of becoming sin caused Jesus who is perfectly holy to sweat blood.

When Abraham was about to sacrifice his son Isaac, God stopped him.
God said "Take your son, your only son, the son that you love...". That is the first mention of love in the Bible.
How do we know that God loves us? Because He did not withhold His only Son Jesus whom He loves.
We can confidently declare that God loves us!

When Jesus was alive on earth, He said "...The Son of Man has no place to lay His head".
At the cross, Jesus bowed His head after giving up His spirit.
Jesus finally found His rest in saving you, redeeming you, and paying for your redemption!

Luke 13:14-16 - The Pharisee only had bondage and the Law on his mind, but Jesus had love and freedom on His mind.
Woman thou art loosed!

“But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”” (Luke 13:14-16 NKJV)
