30 July 2017 - See Through Jesus' Eyes: A Child Who Has Fallen Into a Well - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineIf you have been confessing healing, health and finances but you are seeing no results yet, listen to the Holy Spirit's prompting in you. Maybe He has been telling you something that you have been ignoring. God sanctioned the children of Israel in the past to eat animals that chew the cud and have cloven feet - that was considered healthy for them. What it means for us today is that you should feed from ministries that meditate on God's word and rightly divide the word in their walk. Even though we're surrounded by the culture of the world who try to condemn us for saying what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong, we don't have to be affected by what they say. Even though the world is under subjugation and the devil is ruling the world, we believers can still walk in victory. When Jesus comes back to rule on earth during the Millennium, there will be no more poverty, sickness, and natural people who die at the age of 100+ will be considered to have died as young as an infant. Yes after we are saved we are meant to share the gospel and get people saved, but that's not the purpose of life. God wants us to live life, and our lives will bear witness to God. It's useless to try to convince or answer your critics. By trying that, you're actually giving weight to what they're saying. Just ignore them. Some people are just sent to oppose you. Judas will always be Judas. You don't have to be a theologian to be able to understand the Bible. The Holy Spirit can speak to you and give you a rhema word specifically for your situation today. The word of God has a voice that speaks to you.
Isaiah 61:1 - What is good news to the poor? Provision.
There is no such thing as a health and wealth gospel, but the gospel of grace produces health and provision in our lives. ““The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;" (Isaiah 61:1 NKJV) Luke 4:24-30 - During the famine, many people were poor. God sent Elijah to a widow who lived outside Israel. Sidon is north of Israel. This was a miracle of provision and prosperity. Leprosy is a disease. Naaman the Syrian was healed of leprosy. This was a miracle of health and healing. The word of God clearly shows that the gospel produces health and provision. Why did these two people receive their miracles? It's because it's by God's love and grace - not by their obedience to the Law. Before it was Jesus' time, no one could take away His life. Only Jesus could lay down His own life. “Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.” (Luke 4:24-30 NKJV) Trying to Keep the Law Makes One Sick and BrokeWhen Jesus died on the cross, His head did not drop helplessly like a normal human being. Jesus bowed His head and dismissed His spirit. That's power - you're following a Winner Whom death has no hold over. The word for "prosperity" is "Saliak" which means move forward and progress. If you try to keep the Law, you will come under the curse. When one is under the curse, he/she will feel bogged down and slow in every area of life. The New Covenant brings us to a higher standard. The Law says don't steal, but Grace makes us givers. The Law says don't commit adultery, but Grace makes us love our spouses. Galatians 4:9 - We did not find Jesus, Jesus found us! The word "weak" here means sick. If you come under the Law, you will have sickness. The word "beggarly" here literally means "beggar". If you come under the Law, you will become poor. The system of the Law will make one sick and broke. “But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?" (Galatians 4:9 NKJV) You don't need a VIP to affirm you. All you need is Jesus. John 9:1-7 - When you see someone sick and broke, never ask the question who sinned. It's so easy to criticize others until it happens to you. When you meet a person that needs God's intervention, bring God's supply into the situation. Pray for the person. When you believe that Jesus is the Sent One, good things will happen to you. “Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” (John 9:1-7 NKJV) Luke 5:17-26 - Why did so many Pharisees and teachers of the law come to see Jesus? That's because before this, Jesus cleansed a leper and that's the first time in Israel's history that a Jewish leper was ever cleansed. There is a ceremonial law for lepers who have been cleansed to show themselves to the priests but it has never been done until Jesus cleansed the leper. God loves and delights in a confident asker. Dare to ask God for big things! Jesus didn't focus on the interruption that the men caused - He saw their faith. Because they saw Jesus in His grace, Jesus saw them in their faith. The moment you believe that you're forgiven of your sins, you will walk and demonstrate it out in your healing. “Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” --He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”” (Luke 5:17-26 NKJV) See Someone in Trouble as a Child Who Has Fallen Into a Well - Replace Self-Righteousness with CompassionMark 5:32-34 - Jesus didn't want the woman who had the issue of blood to receive her healing with His back turned to her. He wanted her to know that it's God's good pleasure to heal her. "Fearing and trembling" is not literal fear but it's Hebraism which means "being in awe". This woman is the only one that Jesus called "Daughter" in the Bible. The word "plague" means "scourge". That's why Jesus was scourged, so that we would not need to suffer the scourge. “And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:32-34 KJV) Matthew 12:9-16 - Luke is the only Gentile writer in the Bible, and he was a doctor. In Luke's account of this miracle, Luke pointed out that it was the man's right hand that was withered. The right hand is a man's working hand, so that man has probably suffered financially. “Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him. Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. Yet He warned them not to make Him known,” (Matthew 12:9-16 NKJV) Mark 3:5 - This is the same incident as in Matthew 12:9-16. Jesus was angry. This is the only place in the Bible that records that Jesus was angry. The word "angry" here also means grieved. The things that grieves Jesus also grieves the Holy Spirit. Self-righteousness and legalism grieves Jesus and the Holy Spirit. “And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.” (Mark 3:5 NKJV) Luke 14:1-6 - Jesus loved the man who needed healing more than what the VIPs thought of Him in that place. Healing is pulling one out of a well. When you see someone in trouble don't ask who sinned. See him/her as a child who has fallen into a well. Provide the supply. “One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?” But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way. Then he asked them, “If one of you has a child or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” And they had nothing to say.” (Luke 14:1-6 NIV) When you trust in the natural, you fall from the supernatural. Exercise has many health benefits but if you trust in that for your health, then you fall from God's supernatural supply of health for you. We don't have to qualify for God's healing. Even unbelievers can be healed. Luke 13:10-17 - Many of Jesus' miracles happen on a Sabbath - When man rests, God works. The woman who was bent over could not see people's faces and could only recognize them by their feet. When you think no one cares, Jesus sees you. Healing is watering. God did not cause the woman's infirmity - it was the devil. The ruler of the synagogue's mentality is that men ought to work, whereas Jesus' mentality is that the woman ought to be healed. “Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.” (Luke 13:10-17 NKJV) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "30 July 2017 - See Through Jesus' Eyes: A Child Who Has Fallen Into a Well - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online".
