Grace should not be an article of your teaching. It should be the principle of your life!

Galatians 1:6-9 - The grace of Christ is the only true gospel. Any other gospel is untrue.

“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9 NKJV)

John 1:14 - Grace is not a subject. Grace is the Person of Jesus Christ.
Grace and truth is "Hesed ve Emet" in Hebrew.
God is restoring the gospel. It is not just restored to the original condition. It is made even better.
The news doesn't tell you what God is doing in the world, but God is doing a great thing!

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NKJV)

Don't envy financially rich people.
We have joy unspeakable. We have great promises for this life and in the life to come.
Don't waste time envying things that don't have true value.

Only God can give you favor. Many Christian programs shut down because there is no favor.
Favor can be increased in our lives and it can also be frustrated.
Honesty alone doesn't bring favor. There are honest people who don't have favor in their lives.

Sometimes homemakers do things that are more significant and have more eternal consequences than people who work a job.
They are shaping lives for this life and for eternity.
Why not ask God for increased favor, starting in your family?

It doesn't matter how dark your background - God can turn it around when you turn to Him. Your sin will not mark or define your life. Superabounding grace is what will mark and define you.

Romans 6:1-2 - Sin is not what frustrates favor. Where sin abounds, God's grace (unmerited favor) superabounds.
That's not the only way grace superabounds.
When you're trying to do too much and performing with anxiety, that frustrates favor.
If you're truly born-again, you may fall into sin sometimes, but you won't live in sin.
The problem is that people are not taking enough advantage of God's grace.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1-2 NKJV)

There are people who profess Christ, but they don't possess Christ. They may say that they are Christian, but they're not truly born-again.

Romans 5:20-6:1 - God gave man the Law causing them to sin more, so that they would recognize their need for a Savior.
The Law brings out the sin within man.
If you respond with shame and condemnation to your sin, that doesn't help you.
However when you sin, you should respond with faith and reach out to possess the superabounding grace that is available for you.
When Peter failed, he was addressed specially.
Jesus gave the honor of feeding His sheep and position of leadership to the one who failed the most (Peter). That's grace.

“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? ” (Romans 5:20-6:1 NKJV)

Romans 11:6 - Works is performance. Grace and performance are opposites. The definition of Grace is "unearned, unmerited favor".
Performance is the greatest hindering block to salvation.
Grace empowers people to sin no more. That's not the definition of grace, but that's the result that grace produces.

“And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.” (Romans 11:6 NKJV)

Matthew 1:1-17 - Tamar (She acted like a prostitute, seduced and had sex with Judah, her father-in-Law.
She took Judah's ring, bracelet and the staff and bore twins from Judah's seed.),
Rahab (She was a prostitute and she has faith and believed that the God of Israel would win. She helped the spies from amongst the children of Israel to escape safely from Jericho),
Ruth (She was a virtuous woman [the only woman who was called virtuous in the Bible], but she was under the curse. She was a Gentile - a Moabite),
Bathsheba (She was publicly bathing under the house of David, and then committed adultery with David.
Of all the 18 sons of David born by his many wives, Bathsheba's son, Solomon was chosen by God to carry on the Messianic Genealogy),
and Mary (the virgin woman who gave birth to Jesus) -
these five women are included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. This is God magnifying His grace!
Five is the number of grace! It doesn't matter how dark your background - God can turn it around when you turn to Him.
Your sin will not mark or define your life. Superabounding grace is what will mark and define you.

"The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah. Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa. Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah. Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon. And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations." (Matthew 1:1-17 NKJV)

Rest and Receive Increased Favor

God expects faith and then you will see the results. Step out in faith and then you will see the results.

Jesus is full of grace to give. We on the other hand need to receive all the grace that we can get.
You will definitely sin in the future, but sin doesn't define you. Grace does.

Grace doesn't come by doing more. Grace comes by seeing more.

Genesis 6:8 - This is the first time that grace is mentioned in the Bible.
The Law of First Mention: Whenever a topic is first mentioned in the Bible, there is a significant learning point that God wants us to learn.
Noah's name means "rest". Grace comes when you rest in what Jesus has done for you.

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” (Genesis 6:8 NKJV)

John 5:19-20 - Humility is knowing that you can't do anything without God. Pride is thinking that you can do everything on your own.
When Jesus was on earth, He never tapped into His deity to perform any miracles. He relied totally on the Father as a Man.
This posture of rest that Jesus adopted allowed God's favor to flow in His life.
It doesn't matter how loud or soft you are praying, it's not about you. It's all about Jesus doing it.
If you only depend on natural 'strengths', you will only get natural results.
Don't just pray for areas that you think you are weak in.
Pray for all areas (even those areas you think that you're talented in) and rely completely on God.
Jesus looks so restful in the gospels. He never rushes and always has time. He lived at the rhythm of grace.
Yet, there has never been a Man who did more in 3 and a 1/2 years.
Comic book superheroes save situations here and there, but Jesus saved the entire world in 6 hours of being stuck on the cross.

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.” (John 5:19-20 NKJV)

If the only way you can relieve yourself emotionally is by cutting yourself, that's demonic activity. It's not you. Jesus is coming for you.

Luke 8:23-39 - The devil did not want Jesus to go across to deliver the demoniac so he caused a storm.
Jesus did not wake up because of the storm. He woke up because of the cries of His own (the disciples).
With one word "Go", Jesus cast out the legion (between 2000 to 6000) of demons out of the demoniac.
The demoniac sat at Jesus' feet.
The people of the region could live with demons but they could not live with deliverance. The world is upside down.
The demoniac became an evangelist for Jesus after he was delivered!

“But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!” Then they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!” For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness. Jesus asked him, saying, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him. And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss. Now a herd of many swine was feeding there on the mountain. So they begged Him that He would permit them to enter them. And He permitted them. Then the demons went out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and drowned. When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country. Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. They also who had seen it told them by what means he who had been demon-possessed was healed. Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the Gadarenes asked Him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. And He got into the boat and returned. Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.” And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.” (Luke 8:23-39 NKJV)

II Peter 1:2 - God wants you to sit at His feet, not act by your tendency to want to do more.
The more revelation you have of Jesus, the more grace and peace will be multiplied in your life.

“Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” (2 PETER 1:2 AMP)

Receive Increased Favor by Placing Jesus at the Center of Your Life

Why did Jesus restrain the eyes of the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus?
Jesus wanted them to see Him in the Scriptures.
You can be brought out of discouragement, despair, and depression by being Christ-occupied and not self-occupied.
When you listen to preaching that places Jesus in the center, everything in your life will be blessed.
Don't let Jesus become a side-issue or just a means to an end.

Don't treat your spouse as God. You cannot draw affirmation, esteem, etc from your spouse. Humans make lousy gods. You need to draw all that from Jesus and make Him your center.
God gave women influence. If man is the head, then woman is the neck that turns the head.
The Law had to be given first and allowed to do its thorough work before man recognizes that he needs a Savior.
Similarly, Adam saw that the animals that God created came in pairs and realised that he was alone. Adam then recognized his need for a companion.
After everything was created already, woman was created last. The last creation must be the best isn't it?
For God to create Eve, Adam had to sleep (rest). When you rest, God can give you the best.
There is no word "husband" or "wife" in the Bible, just "man" and "woman".
When a man is married, he tends to see his wife as a duty and other woman as woman.
It is important to realize that your wife is your woman.

Song of Solomon 5:2-6 - God will never leave you. We have His constant presence.
But sometimes God hides the sense of His presence from us, causing us to miss the tangible experience of His presence.
That's how God draws us to Him.

“I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, “Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.” I have taken off my robe; How can I put it on again? I have washed my feet; How can I defile them? My beloved put his hand By the latch of the door, And my heart yearned for him. I arose to open for my beloved, And my hands dripped with myrrh, My fingers with liquid myrrh, On the handles of the lock. I opened for my beloved, But my beloved had turned away and was gone. My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.” (Song of Solomon 5:2-6 NKJV)

Hosea 2:6-7 - There is such a thing as a hedge of thorns and a hedge of favor.
If your spouse is attracted to another person, you can pray for there to be a hedge of thorns between your spouse and that other person.
Don't drop everything and wallow in your despair.
Instead, dress well, and look good for yourself but not for your spouse.
All the better if your spouse thinks that you have another person that you like. But make sure that you have no other person!

““Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, And wall her in, So that she cannot find her paths. She will chase her lovers, But not overtake them; Yes, she will seek them, but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband, For then it was better for me than now.’” (Hosea 2:6-7 NKJV)

Song of Solomon 5:9-12 - When the woman talked about her beloved, he appeared.
When we talk about Jesus or sing about Jesus, we sense His presence again.

“What is your beloved More than another beloved, O fairest among women? What is your beloved More than another beloved, That you so charge us? My beloved is white and ruddy, Chief among ten thousand. His head is like the finest gold; His locks are wavy, And black as a raven. His eyes are like doves By the rivers of waters, Washed with milk, And fitly set.” (Song of Solomon 5:9-12 NKJV)

These sermon notes are independently-compiled by me, and I'm just a loyal and regular attendee of the the church's Sunday services, and I feel led to take detailed personal sermon notes of Pastor Prince's anointed messages to share them with the world, which desperately needs the true word of God and the original gospel of grace.

I feel blessed to be able to attend Pastor Joseph Prince's services in person, and would like to help everyone who isn't able to attend in person, to get hold of the messages as soon as it is preached!
