15 December 2019 - Have Faith in the One Who Always Believes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs Performed: (I missed a few songs before this) 1. O Praise the Name (Anástasis) - Hillsong Music 2. I Stand in Worship - New Creation Worship God is only good. He’s good all the time—He is always good! The absence of your breakthrough is not the definition of God’s nature or His will. Jesus Christ is perfect theology. Today don’t look at your reality to determine the goodness of God. If you can’t see God as good, then your faith has no solid ground to rest on. We need to repent (change our minds) and see that God is good. Under the Law, people had to journey to Jerusalem and ascend to the temple on the mount. Under Grace, we can bring the temple of God (the church) to the people. Every time we serve the Lord with our resources, it is resources well-spent. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. This is the reason why He came to earth. If we closely examine the way each of the four synoptic gospels ends, we will see God's heart for us. Matthew 28:18-20 - In the Gospel of Matthew, we see Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords. All means all. He has received all authority in Heaven and on earth. The ultimate king, Jesus, is our Lord. The heart of this King on our side. He is all-powerful and is always with us—even to the end of the age. “Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20 WEB) Mark 16:19-20 - In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is depicted as the tireless Servant. The Servant is still serving man today. He’s still working signs and wonders as the Gospel is preached. “So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.” (Mark 16:19-20 WEB) Luke 24:50-53 - The Gospel of Luke depicts Jesus as the perfect Man. Bethany means house of misery/the poor. When there is misery, Jesus feels most at home so that He can be there to comfort you and strengthen you. Bethany is where Jesus ascended to Heaven. The last thing He did was to bless His disciples. Jesus was received into Heaven while He was still blessing the disciples. God’s heart is to bless you. The perfect Man became our great High Priest forever. “He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven. They worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.” (Luke 24:50-53 WEB) John 21:25 - The Gospel of John depicts Jesus as the eternal God. This verse is not a hyperbole. It is literal. This verse proves that Jesus is God who existed from the beginning. He has been so many things and is still doing new things today. If your breakthrough hasn’t come yet, don’t give up—keep believing. God is faithful and good. “There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn’t have room for the books that would be written.” (John 21:25 WEB)

6 October 2019 - Healing is for the Undeserving - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: 1. Our God - Chris Tomlin 2. God of Angel Armies - Chris Tomlin 3. Victory Is Yours - Bethel Music 4. Refuge - New Creation Worship 5. I Am The God That Healeth Thee - Don Moen It is your Heavenly Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Even in your valley seasons, you can have the Lord’s joy. This joy is not dependent on your circumstances. Jesus is your joy, hope and peace. Pastor Lawrence read a testimony of Marcus’ miraculous healing from Alzheimer’s disease through partaking of the Holy Communion. This testimony is in Pastor Joseph Prince’s new book “Eat Your Way to Life and Health”. There are some diseases that medical science says are incurable—that’s a fact. But God’s word is the truth and God’s word says that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed. God’s will is revealed in His word. It is God’s will for every person to be healed, healthy, strong and to live a life full of energy and vigor. Jesus is perfect theology. When you see Jesus, you’ll know what God’s will is. Jesus is the Word and will of God. Jesus is the exact image of the invisible God. In the Greek, it means that Jesus is the exact representation of what God the Father is like. Don’t let people cheat you into believing that it’s God will for you to be sick. When Jesus was on earth, He went about doing good, destroying the works of the devil. One of the things He did most frequently was to heal the sick. He cleansed the lepers and even opened the eyes of the blind. God’s heart is for you to be healed and to be well. Exodus 15:26 - Yahweh revealed His name to the children of Israel. When He reveals His name, it’s because He wants you to know His heart for you. His name is Yahweh Rapha (Yahweh who heals you). You can have this assurance in your heart that He wants to heal you through His finished work at the cross. “and he said, “If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.”” (Exodus 15:26 WEB) Even if something bad happens, God’s Grace is greater than what you did or did not do. Your faith shouldn’t be based on what you did or did not do. When bad things happen, don’t blame God and do not blame yourself. Instead of trying to find out why it happened, look for the solution—Jesus’ finished work at the cross. God’s provision through the cross is greater than any challenge you may face. Pastor Lawrence really believes the revelation of the Holy Communion is needed for this season. We should be immersing in Pastor Prince’s new book and receiving the revelations within. Pastor Lawrence wasn’t asked by anyone to say this—it’s his own opinion. The blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed us from every sin, so how can it be that we are made sick because of a sin that we committed many years ago? God will never hold our sins against us. 15 September 2019 - Set Free From Every Prison By The Blood of Jesus - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: 1. This is Amazing Grace - Bethel Music 2. Finished - New Creation Worship 3. Nothing But the Blood of Jesus - Craig Adams 4. God You’re So Good - Brett Younker God’s goodness cannot be overstated or exaggerated. His goodness is above all or we can think or imagine—He is good all the time. God has a special heart for those who are trapped in prison—it may not be a literal prison, but it could be a prison of sickness, hopelessness, depression, addiction, etc. God wants to set you free! Luke 4:16-19 - Jesus read from Isaiah 61 which was written more than 700 years before Jesus came to earth. Jesus added something to this passage in the book of Isaiah and did not read something in it. He added “recovery of sight to the blind”. This is a Messianic sign, to prove that He is the Messiah. Everything else that Jesus read can be done by anyone. Only the miracle of giving sight to the blind proves that one qualified to be the Messiah. “He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”” (Luke 4:16-19 WEB) Isaiah 61:1-2 - This is the original passage Jesus read from. “The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;” (Isaiah 61:1-2 WEB) Isaiah 42:6-9 - Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would open blind eyes. ““I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations; to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison. “I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images. Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up.”” (Isaiah 42:6-9 WEB) 23 June 2019 - Jesus Our Servant King - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: 1. King of My Heart - Bethel Music 2. Goodness of God - Bethel Music 3. You Alone - Don Harris Jesus is the fairest of ten thousand, and altogether lovely. It doesn’t matter how many times you have failed or sinned. God’s Grace and mercy is greater. He is the God of second chances. We are not good in and of ourselves. God is good to us because of His own goodness. The Hebrew word Hesed which is usually translated as loving-kindness and mercy in the Old Testament, is revealed as “Grace” in the New Testament. The Gospel is not just the Gospel of Grace, but also the Gospel of Peace. You can only understand the love of God the Father when you know how much He loves Jesus His Son — He gave up His Son at the cross, so that He can give us life. God wants to give us peace. Thanks to Jesus’ finished work at the cross, God has become our Father, and we have peace with Him. There is one fear that Christians are instructed to have: a fear of not entering in the rest from works-based justification that God has promised. 19 May 2019 - Holiness by Grace - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotePraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed out some songs before this)
The Christian life is the life worth living. It is a life full of joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. Proverbs 11:30 - The wisest mortal man to ever live, King Solomon, taught that there is tremendous wisdom in winning souls. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.” (Proverbs 11:30 WEB) The Bible is the inerrant word of the living God. Every prophecy in it has and will come to pass. Acts 17:11 - Examine what preachers say with the Word of God, don’t just believe everything they say. God considers you as more noble when you check with His word. “Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:11 WEB) 3 John 1:2 - God’s heart is for us to be blessed: to prosper in all things and be healthy. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2 WEB) Hebrews 6:14 - God made a covenant with Abraham because He wants Abraham and his descendants to know that He wants to bless them. God’s will is revealed in God’s word. “saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”” (Hebrews 6:14 WEB) 24 March 2019 - Flash Floods of Blessings in Your Dry Places - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed:
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus’ blood capillaries burst because He was under great stress, causing Him to ‘sweat’ drops of blood. In order for Israel to have a good harvest, they need to have a good latter rain. We will surely harvest great blessings and breakthroughs this year because it is “The Year of the Latter Rain”! There were torrential rains happening in Israel recently like never before. Even the Dead Sea had splashes of waves such that tourists can’t float on it like they were expecting to. We first see it in the natural (in Israel), then in the spiritual (in our lives). Psalm 126:4 - This word is being fulfilled now! There are flash floods happening in the Negeb, which is a desert land. What follows the latter rain is streams in the desert! It may seem dry right now but the rivers are coming! Put your trust in the Lord. “Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negeb!” (Psalms 126:4 ESV)
