19 June 2016 - Be Well-Supplied At God's Great Supper - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineFathers tend to blame and condemn themselves when things go wrong at home. They think they have to bear all the burden on their own. If you are a father, you don't have to do that because there is One higher than you - the Lord Jesus Christ. Rest in Him and relax in order to possess your possessions! God's anointing is not limited by distance. The anointing is strongest where there is faith. If you have faith, you will receive it. What fathers say to their children have the most weight on them, as compared to what their friends say to them. Don't underestimate the power in your words. Bring your children to church. Don't worry about them turning rebellious or disliking you. They already are. They are able to sense the presence of God during church. You never hit a child in the face. You hit him/her in the seat of learning (the buttocks). You don't leave a mark. If you discipline your child right, they will become so loving. If you are a father, don't let your children run the house. Take back control! Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it. Feed your child with the word of God and he will not depart from it. When you condemn yourself, nothing that you do that is right will work, because your motivation is wrong. We pray from victory, not for victory! We have already been healed, we are not praying to become healed. We are declaring what God says we are! Spend time with God and ask Him what you need. Don't look for generic formulas apart from the Lord. God will teach you based on your own band, your own style, etc. The Lord left our flesh with us as not born again as a reminder that in and of ourselves, no good thing exists. We are still as dependent on Him now as when before we were born again. Luke 14:25-27 - The great multitudes were following Jesus to learn from Him. Jesus means that we cannot place anything above Him if we want to follow Him, and not that we must hate our family members. We have to acknowledge Jesus as Savior before we acknowledge Him as Teacher. “Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:25-27 NKJV) Luke 15:1-4 - Jesus is at home with the sinners because they see Him as Savior. His floodgates of compassion opened up. “Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” So He spoke this parable to them, saying: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?” (Luke 15:1-4 NKJV) The Luke 15 parables (Parable of the Lost Sheep, Parable of the Lost Coin, and the Parable of the Lost Son) show Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our Heavenly Father finding joy in pursuing and saving the lost. What is God's reason for saving you? God finds joy in saving you! The Law demands, Grace imparts. Under the Law, we have to love God with all our heart, all our mind and all our strength. Under grace, God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son. You don't have to understand something in order to enjoy it. If you don't understand anything, just know one thing: God is good and God is love. Luke 14:16-24 - If God gives a feast, what a feast it will be! The greatness of the supper is based on its cost. When you're invited for a supper, do you pay for it? No it is given to you. When we go to the great supper, do we go there bringing something? No, it is already all prepared. We go there to find and to receive, not to give! The servant in this parable is the Holy Spirit. All things are now ready - your provision, wisdom, salvation etc are ready! The three men who were invited were giving excuses. There is no rush or hastiness about Jesus. He is slow but always on time. The only time Jesus asks you to make haste is when you are lost. The quality of the Man who died for us enables everyone to be able to receive salvation, and still have room for more salvations. Who does God invite? The poor, the lame, the maimed and the blind. We are all sweetly compelled to be saved and to eat at God's great supper. “Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ”” (Luke 14:16-24 NKJV) When you come to God in pretense, you will not get a response. But when you are real with Him, He will help you. Can God hear your prayers when you speak softly? Yes! He lives inside you. Hannah prayed with no vocal voice - only her lips were moving, and she received Samuel, her miracle boy. “So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” (I Samuel 1:9-18 NKJV) The Sermon on the Mount is the constitution of the kingdom of heaven. It will be instituted when Jesus comes again.
If God gives a feast, what a feast it will be! The greatness of the supper is based on its cost. When you're invited for a supper, do you pay for it? No it is given to you. When we go to the great supper, do we go there bringing something? No, it is already all prepared. We go there to find and to receive, not to give!
Mark 7:25-30 - We are no longer Gentiles under the table. We are seated at the table. “For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.” (Mark 7:25-30 NKJV) II Samuel 9:3-7 - David represents God. The first natural response of a sinner to God is fear. What they don't understand is God's love. That's why the heavenly messengers always say "Do not fear". When you get saved, you don't have to be perfect. Just keep eating God's spiritual food. It is the goodness of God that leads to our repentance towards God. “Then the king said, “ Is there not still have someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.” So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.” Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar. Now when Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, had come to David, he fell on his face and prostrated himself. Then David said, “Mephibosheth?” And he answered, “Here is your servant!” So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.”” (II Samuel 9:3-7 NKJV) John 12:41 - This is a reference to Isaiah 6:1-3 where Isaiah saw the pre-incarnate Jesus. “These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.” John 12:41 NKJV Isaiah 6:1-3 - The Lord that Isaiah saw is the pre-incarnate Jesus. “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”” (Isaiah 6:1-3 NKJV) Acts 13:38-39 - God's righteousness is greater than your sin. Know that and it will swallow up your sin. Forgiveness of sins and justification is immediate, is perfect, and lasts forever. “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:38-39 NKJV) When we accept God's salvation and come to God, it's not for God's benefit, it's for your benefit. I Corinthians 1:30 - Come to the great supper and eat. Jesus is your wisdom, righteousness, holiness and redemption! “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—” (I Corinthians 1:30 NKJV) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "19 June 2016 - Be Well-Supplied At God's Great Supper - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online ".
