18 October 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Living Worthily As A King And Priest to GodA Testimony: Ethan was born with severe heart problems in the USA. He was missing an aortic valve in his heart. He needed open heart surgery within 24 hours of being born. When he was growing up, he needed surgery on his heart every few years to enlarge his aortic valve. As he was growing up, he watched Pastor Prince's sermons on television with his mum every morning. His dream was to go to Singapore to meet Pastor Joseph Prince. Someone contacted Make a Wish foundation and notified them about Ethan's dream. They fly Ethan to Singapore and arranged for Pastor Prince to meet him at New Creation Church. Pastor Prince met Ethan and prayed for him. Ethan saw God's great love for him through this experience! God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should be saved. That's His heart for us. Testimony: A man was addicted to the highly-addictive drug called "Ice". He read books about the Lord and the addiction went away. In September 2013, he attended a friend's birthday party and they were taking drugs. He succumbed to the temptation and took drugs too. Then his addiction to drugs became worse than before. He took the drugs daily. After he watched Pastor Prince's sermon called "Step into God's Greater Glory", he woke up the next day and found that he was free from all desire to take the drugs. He has been free from drug addiction since April 2014. Praise Jesus! God is raising a lot of young people established in grace and is not waiting for them to grow up before using them! Isaiah 11:6-9 - When the reign of Jesus comes on earth during His millennial rule, nothing will destroy each other. There will be no destruction on earth. "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the nursing child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:6-9, NKJV) In the middle of the 7 years Tribulation will be the Great Tribulation. II Peter 3:8 - A thousand years with the Lord is like one day. "But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day." (II Peter 3:8, NKJV) John 2:1-10 - After two days (on the third day), Jesus turned water into wine. It points to the wedding feast that will take place in heaven after the Great Tribulation. "On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”" (John 2:1-10, NKJV) John 11:17 - Why Lazarus was raised from the dead only after 4 days: From Adam to Jesus is 4000 years. Salvation was made available to mankind after Jesus died at the cross - man who was dead in his sins because of Adam's sin was raised to life! From Jesus to us is 2000 years. "So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days." (John 11:17, NKJV) Matthew 6:9-13 - The Sermon on the Mount is the Constitution of the King. The Lord's Prayer is for the dispensation at that time - Israel was still under the Law and Jesus had not died at the cross yet. We should pray according to Paul's prayers. Now we pray because we are forgiven, not to be forgiven. "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." (Matthew 6:9-13, NKJV) The first 4 chapters of the Book of Revelation talks about the church. Chapter 5 onward is after the Rapture has already happened. We believers will already be with Jesus in heaven. The Book of Revelation is a symbolic book. We are in the End-Times! Revelation 13:16-17 - You will have to have a mark on you before you can buy or sell after the Rapture. It could be a chip implanted inside you. To take the mark is an unpardonable sin. This is not applicable for believers before the Rapture because we will already be in heaven by that time! “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16-17 NKJV) Revelation 1:4-6 - "Who is who was and who is to come" is referencing "YHWH" (Pastor Prince pronounces it as "Yahweh"). God wants Jesus to have preeminence. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead! As believers, we are kings and priests to God. “John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:4-6 NKJV) Malachi 4:6, Revelation 22:21 - The closing statement of the Old Testament is "curse". The closing statement of the New Testament is "the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all"! “And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”” (Malachi 4:6 NKJV) “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21 NKJV) Revelation 2:1-5 - After the bride (the church) is ready for the Bridegroom, step aside for the Bridegroom, if not you will be moved aside! "Removing your lampstand" does not mean losing your salvation. It means that your church will lose its influence and the congregation will be moved to another church. ““To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.” (Revelation 2:1-5 NKJV) Luke 3:22, 4:1-3 - The one word that the devil wants to remove is that we are God's "beloved". The Father called Jesus His "Beloved Son". It is counterproductive to the devil to remind you that you are God's beloved when he is tempting you. God loves you! He even numbers the hairs on your head. “And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”” (Luke 3:22 NKJV) “Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”” (Luke 4:1-3 NKJV) Revelation 1:1-3 - The Book of Revelation is the only book that says that a blessing is in store for the reader of this book - there are three conditions: (1) you must read the book, (2) you must hear the words in the book, (3) you must keep those things which are written in the book. The Book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ - not of the devil, the mark of the beast, nor 666. “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” (Revelation 1:1-3 NKJV) 7 is the number of perfection, and 3 is the number of manifestation. Wherever Jesus is, that's heaven. Grace does not tell what man is, but it tells what God is. The Law does not tell what God is, it tells what man ought to be. Exodus 19:3-6 - "on eagles' wings" means grace. God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt by pure grace. When you are under grace, you will rest and fly. God wanted the entire nation of Israel to be priests - that's His dream for Israel. After this in Exodus Chapter 20, the Ten Commandments were given to the children of Israel because they boasted that they could do whatever that God instructed - they boasted in their own obedience and ability. “And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”” (Exodus 19:3-6 NKJV) Man needs to be reconciled to God. God does not need to be reconciled to Man because His heart is for Man. God does not need to run to man. Man needs to run to God. God wants us to be priests. Bad things happen when the priests are not functioning. God wants His priests to function. The Book of Malachi is about the Levitical priests not functioning the way they should, and that Israel was under the curse because the priests are not functioning. 'Priestcraft' means clergy and laity. It means the belief that the clergy are closer to God, and they pray on behalf of the laity. This is NOT TRUE. We believers are all priests to God! We are just as anointed to God as any other believer. Miracles and being organized are not antithesis. When God says "be holy", he's saying don't be common, be uncommon. Be different from the world. When the world does not forgive or forget, you should forgive and forget. When the world is nice to people who are attractive, you be nice to people who are unattractive (in terms of appearance and dressing). It is better to make a mistake being generous than making a mistake being stingy. I Peter 2:9-10 - We believers are a priesthood not elected by man, but by God. It is not shown by outward dressing. Jesus was dressed on earth the way the everyday folk in Israel were dressed - not like the luxurious dressing of the Pharisees. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” (I Peter 2:9-10 NKJV) Numbers 7:1-6 - "sanctify" means to set apart - precious things are set apart. Numbers Chapter 7 is the longest chapter in the Book of Numbers. It just lists all the princes giving offerings to God without precedence - they gave out of the generosity of their hearts. God wants His people to be princely and regal. People who are princely are not petty. People who are princely are generous. Princes have dignity and nobility. Princes don't just do the bare minimum - they do more than is needed and ask "what can I do to help?". The priests received the offerings. When the priests are functioning, they will not lack in anything when they are serving God. “And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them; That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered: And they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service. And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.” (Numbers 7:1-6 KJV) Ephesians 4:1 - We as believers are called to be king-priests. “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,” (Ephesians 4:1 NKJV) Forgiveness should be a gift. Don't wait for people to forgive you first before forgiving them. That's not grace! A gift is a gift, not a payment. Numbers 7:10-18 - The altar represents the cross of Jesus Christ. People who are princely value the cross of Jesus Christ. They can't be under the Law because they value what Jesus did for them at the cross. “And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar. And the Lord said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar. And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah: And his offering was one silver charger, the weight thereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering: One spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense: One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering: One kid of the goats for a sin offering: And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab. On the second day Nethaneel the son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, did offer:” (Numbers 7:10-18 KJV) As a believer, don't crack dirty jokes. It's not a good testimony to the Lord. You can have a sense of humor - God has a sense of humor too! Nehemiah 8:10 - The Lord Jesus is joyful! The joy of the Lord is our strength. If you know that the Lord rejoices over you, you will have strength! “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”” (Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV) When you complain, you will stay in the same negative situation. When you praise, God will deliver you out of the situation.
