4 October 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Meditate On God's Word And Receive Wisdom that Propels You Into Good Success!Testimony: A man from Philippines was addicted to gambling on horse racing since 9 years old and on pornography. He stole money. He shouted at his family. He was saved at a church that taught a mixture of Law and Grace. That church also taught about confessing all the un-confessed sins in your heart before going to sleep in order to be forgiven. He kept confessing his sins until he had headaches, and his addiction to gambling on horse racing and pornography worsened. One day when he was searching through television channels, he stumbled upon Pastor Joseph Prince's teachings, and it set him free from more than 30 years of addiction to compulsive gambling and pornography. Now when he is surfing the Internet and sees a picture of a scantily-clad lady, he just declares that he is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and the temptation melts away. Praise Jesus! If you believe in the total depravity of man and believe that you have to confess all your sins, then you'll have to be confessing your sins all the time, including those sins that you don't know about, and those that you forgot to confess. It is error to believe that you have to keep confessing your sins in order to be forgiven. That will lead you into bondage. I John 1:9 - The Apostle John was writing this to the Gnostic Jews, not to believers. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9, NKJV) When you know you are forgiven, you'll not be afraid to be honest. Pastor Joseph Prince used to be in bondage during his youth because he believed that he had to keep confessing his sins in order to be forgiven. He wasn't a good testimony of what the Apostle Paul preached about - joy unspeakable, peace, and casting out every fear. Isaiah 45:23-25 - Believers will say "surely I have righteousness and strength." or "I am the righteousness of God in Christ!". Whoever comes against these believers will be put to shame. “I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. He shall say, ‘Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him. In the LORD all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory.’ ”” (Isaiah 45:23-25 NKJV) 
Although King David had a New Covenant mentality, but nevertheless he was a man under the Law. For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised.” (Romans 4:6-10 NKJV) Even in the time of the Law, God's heart is not in punishing you. His heart is in loving you! God's holiness is perfect, but God also loves you. Although you violated God's Law, His heart is not violence against you. When God exacts justice against you, He does violence against His own heart. He has to exact justice because He is a Righteous Judge, if not the whole universe would crumble. The Bible is not a book of what to do and what not to do. It is a book about the revelation of Jesus Christ. Daniel 6:10-24 - There is a twofold application of Daniel in the story of Daniel and the den of lions. Daniel represents us who violated God's Law, and he also represents Jesus who was punished in our place. We were supposed to go into the den of lions. Jesus was thrown into the den in our place. After He served our sentence in the den, He did not stay dead permanently as the Lord shut the mouth of the lions (the devil and his demons) - Jesus rose again from the dead. When we believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have all been through the lion's den with Jesus and we have all come out of it with Him. “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.” And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.” So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed. Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?” Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God. And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.” (Daniel 6:10-24 NKJV) Of all babies born in the world, there is no baby that is born without the sentence of death over their heads, because every baby is born with sin in their blood. Jesus is the only one who was born as a baby who did not have sin in His blood. Although He was without sin and did not have a death sentence over His head, He took our sins and died in our place so that we could receive His righteousness! Foreknowledge and predestination are two different things. Just because God knows what is going to happen before it happens, it does not mean that He made you do those things. Ezekiel 38:1-23 - Russia will come with Persia from the north and attack Israel from Syria. Russia is going to die on the mountains. The Lord is going to help Israel. Just last week, Russia went into Syria under the pretense that they want to get rid of ISIS. “Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you. “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.” ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” ’ “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it? Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” Thus says the Lord GOD: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them? “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “ that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord GOD. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.” ’” (Ezekiel 38:1-23 NKJV)

There are five portions in the book of Psalms, corresponding with the first five books of the Bible. Psalms 32:1-2 - "Maschil" as a verb means to give instruction or to make wise. As a noun, it is "Maschilim" which means one or those who instruct. The Maschilim - there are 13 Maschil Psalms. The first one is Psalms 32. “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.” (Psalms 32:1-2 NKJV) We all need this, especially business people: Sakal - Wisdom that propels you into success. This success means GOOD success that will not take away time from your family, will not cause harm to your health, etc. Sakal is what you need to prosper in life! Pastor Joseph Prince shared about a doctor he saw who was smoking. That doctor has the knowledge about what it takes to have good health, and yet he still smokes and harms his own body. This doctor does not have Sakal. Joshua 1:8 - "prosperous" here is Sakal. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8 NKJV) I Samuel 18:14 - "wisely" here is Sakal. When you have Sakal, the Lord is also with you. “And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him.” (I Samuel 18:14 NKJV) II Kings 18:7 - "prospered" here is Sakal. When you have Sakal, the Lord is also with you. “The LORD was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.” (II Kings 18:7 NKJV) The Lord is with people who have a humble heart. Some people at teachings at seminaries are very full of themselves, and they don't even pray. Having a Bible college education does not mean that you are spiritually greater or more qualified than someone who has not been to Bible college. Pastor Joseph Prince is afraid to go on stage to preach without praying first. He desperately needs God to speak through him. He depends on God for his ministry. Daniel 12:3-4 - When you point people to the gift of righteousness, you will be like stars forever and ever. The greatest blessing is the gift of righteousness. "Wise" here is maschilim. The "maschilim" are the people who have Sakal - the wisdom that propels you into good success. “Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”” (Daniel 12:3-4 NKJV) Psalms 103:2-5 - We are asked not to forget all of God's benefits. The first benefit mentioned is the gift of righteousness, and then it leads to healing! When we know that we are forgiven, we can receive God's healing! “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalms 103:2-5 NKJV) We mustn't forget that celebrities are people who need the gospel too. Justin Bieber has received the revelation of grace. Pastor Joseph Prince believes that Justin Bieber will be used by God. Never look up to a church leader and believe that they have inner access to God. You can ask a pastor to pray WITH YOU, but don't ask them to pray FOR YOU. There is no need for any mediator between you and God. Luke 5:17-26 - God's heart and supply is always greater than what is received. People preaching have made it more conditional and harder to receive God's supply. God's power was present to heal them but only one person was healed. Before healing the paralytic, Jesus told him that his sins are forgiven. He knew that the man needed to hear that his sins are forgiven first, before he could receive the healing. When you see Jesus in His grace, He turns around and sees your faith! It is easier to say "your sins are forgiven". Unless what is unseen is received first - forgiveness for our sins, we cannot receive what is seen - physical healing. “Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” —He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”” (Luke 5:17-26 NKJV) John 8:56-9:7 - Jesus's name is "I AM". It is a blank cheque for us. He is whatever we need. Abraham lived to see Jesus' day. Jesus is greater than Abraham. Even though the Pharisees rejected Jesus and His grace, what happened next was that Jesus healed the blind man. He will always find a way to give from His inexhaustible supply. It wasn't the blind man who found Jesus. Jesus was the One who found the blind man. He found us in our blindness and healed us! We were blind, but now we see! “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” (John 8:56-9:7 NKJV)
