30 August 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Receive 120% Restoration From God for All Your Losses!God has the same nature now and forever, but God changes His methods and ways of doing things. If Israel had received Jesus as their Messiah when He was on earth, Israel would have been ushered into paradise on earth. But alas, they rejected Him. The devil hates Israel because Israel is God's chosen nation. Israel was planned by God to be a good advertisement to testify of Him. But if they did not keep His statutes and commandments, they would become a bad advertisement to prove that there is a God. God loves us but we must also allow ourselves to be loved by God. Romans 5:19 - We are sinners because of one man's sin - Adam. We are righteous not by our works, but because of one Man's obedience - Jesus. "For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous." (Romans 5:19 NKJV) For members of New Creation Church, this is the Year of His Restoration. Restoration can happen in such a way that we don't even recognise that it is restoration. Jude 1:21 - We must keep ourselves in the love of God. Step into the sunlight of God's love. Believe that God loves you by faith. "keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 1:21 NKJV) The devil will always try to make you feel insignificant, like you're just a face in the crowd. God cares about everything in your life, no matter how big or small. Even as a believer, never think that you are beyond sin. But in God's eyes, you are still righteous in Christ when you fail. Never judge your standing by your state. Our state changes, but our righteous standing in Christ never changes. Bitterness is like preparing poison for somebody else to drink, but you drink it yourself instead. Leviticus 6:4-7 - Under the Law, when you do something wrong, you bring a guilt offering - called "Asham" in Hebrew. The wronged party will receive 120% restoration and the wronged party has now become a gainer. If you have been wronged, you are now in a greater place of blessing than if you had not been wronged. Jesus is our trespass offering - He is our Ram without blemish. "then it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall restore what he has stolen, or the thing which he has extorted, or what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or the lost thing which he found, or all that about which he has sworn falsely. He shall restore its full value, add one-fifth more to it, and give it to whomever it belongs, on the day of his trespass offering. And he shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD, a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering, to the priest. So the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD, and he shall be forgiven for any one of these things that he may have done in which he trespasses.”" (Leviticus 6:4-7 NKJV) Isaiah 53:2-5 - Jesus is the most perfect and beautiful Man that ever existed. There is no blemish on Him and in Him is no sin. The verses below talks about Jesus at the cross. He was abused, mangled, bloodied and disfigured. "For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:2-5 NKJV) John 15:25 - "The law" here is not talking about the Ten Commandments. It is talking about the Torah - God's instructions. The Book of Psalms is part of "the law" too. "But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’" (John 15:25 NKJV) Psalms 69:4 - God shows us His love for us by sending His Son to take our place of the perpetrator. Jesus did not steal anything or do anything wrong, but He took our place. "Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it." (Psalms 69:4 NKJV) Be specific about what your child did wrong when you are correcting him or her. The devil isn't specific when he hurls accusations at you. If you have sinned and you feel that you have a fearful expectation of evil in your future, this is what you should do - Pray this: "Father I present Christ to you as my trespass offering for my sin. I thank You that Christ has restored to You 120% more worship, more glory, more praise. Also, Christ has restored to me 120% more of whatever I have lost." - This turns the whole situation around and glorifies the One who redeemed you! Romans 5:20-21, 6:1-2 - The Law entered not to make people more holy, but so that sin might increase. But when sin increased, grace increased MUCH MORE. Grace swallows up sin. Grace is the only antidote to sin. Paul was accused and criticized for teaching this. We can no longer live in sin now that we are in Christ. "Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?" (Romans 5:20-21, 6:1-2 NKJV) If you have been cheated, pray this: "Father I've been cheated, but I'm not going to fight. I thank you Father that Christ is my trespass offering. I thank You Father that I receive 120% more restoration of all that I have lost." Pastor Joseph Prince is against sin and hates sin! Exodus 22:1 - God's principle of restoration makes the wronged party a gainer! Rejoice when you have been wronged because you are now in the position to be a gainer! Look to God for your restoration! "“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and slaughters it or sells it, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep." (Exodus 22:1 NKJV)
Under the Law, when you do something wrong, you bring a guilt offering - called "Asham" in Hebrew. The wronged party will receive 120% restoration and the wronged party has now become a gainer. If you have been wronged, you are now in a greater place of blessing than if you had not been wronged. Jesus is our trespass offering - He is our Ram without blemish.
How would God's grace be made manifest if sin never came? God uses the dark background of sin, to throw into relief His purposes of grace and love. God created the sun for earth, for us. He over-created the sun. Scientists say that much of the energy emitted from the sun is lost in space. He gave earth an over-supply. If in the natural God did this, how much more He will over-supply you in the spiritual! When you serve God, you will find true freedom! To know God's grace and knowledge is more precious than gold. Never define yourself by your gold or your money. Define yourself by the fact that you're the disciple whom Jesus loves. Matthew 1:1-17 - The writer of the gospel of Matthew, Matthew, was a tax collector. He was considered a sinner of sinners. After he was saved, he used his gifts and talents that he previously used to serve the Roman Empire, to serve God. Jesus has a claim to the throne through David. Jesus has a claim to the Promised Land through Abraham. Tamar (She acted like a prostitute and seduced and had sex with Judah, her father-in-Law. She took Judah's ring, bracelet and the staff and bore twins from Judah's seed.), Rahab (She was a prostitute and she has faith and believed that the God of Israel would win. She helped the spies from amongst the children of Israel to escape safely from Jericho), Ruth (She was a virtuous woman, but she was under the curse. She was a Gentile - a Moabite), Bathsheba (She was publicly bathing under the house of David, and then committed adultery with David. Of all the children of David, Bathsheba's son, Solomon was chosen by God to carry on the Messianic Genealogy), and Mary (the virgin woman who gave birth to Jesus) - these five women are included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. This is God magnifying His grace! Five is the number of grace! It doesn't matter how dark your background - God can turn it around when you turn to Him. "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah. Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa. Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah. Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon. And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations." Beautiful how divinely specific names were intentionally left out to prove a point spiritually which then supersedes any physical understanding of man's understanding to prove another point that it is God who has the final say in how all things will come together, yet always includes His chosen people.

Hi Rich, yes it is beautiful. God's word is amazing and there are so many riches to be uncovered inside it! It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and it is the glory of kings to search out a matter! Praise God!
