17 Jan 2016 - Ask For Godly Wisdom That Far Surpasses The World's - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineNew Creation Church is helping to feed hungry children (so hungry that they have to sniff glue to curb the starvation) in New Life Church in Tondo, Philippines. The Senior Pastor of New Life Church was a former leader of a gang, but he is now saved, and preaching the gospel of grace to his growing congregation! The money used for helping New Life Church is from the offerings given by the New Creation Church congregation in Singapore! 2016 is going to be "The Year Of Possessing Our Possessions". No more asking "How long more, Lord?". This is the year of salvation! People will possess the healing that they have been waiting for for so long. A testimony shared by Pastor Joseph Prince: A 24 year-old guy was bound in addiction to pornography ever since he was 14 years old. In November 2014, he heard a testimony shared by Pastor Joseph Prince of a man who was delivered from smoking, just by declaring that he is the righteousness of God in Christ. When the desire to look at pornography came, the 24 year-old guy did not try to stop himself. He knew that his own effort cannot deliver himself from his porn addiction. He confessed "I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I cannot, but Christ can." 2 months later, he had no more desire to look at pornography! He also realized that his performance at work was improving. Hallelujah! Jesus is altogether lovely. The more we look at Him, the more we will look like Him! God is not looking at you to access you. God is looking at Jesus to access you. You cannot believe the right thing and not live the right way. As a believer, you belong to the royal family. You are royalty. Walk like royalty - royalty is generous and princely, not stingy and petty. Sanctification is not just separation from, but it is separation onto. Ephesians 4:22-24 - The way to put off the old man and former conduct is to be renewed in the spirit of your mind - to have right believing. Be renewed in your understanding of who you are in Christ - God has created you in Christ as truly righteous and holy. People lie because they are afraid of man. Don't be afraid of man and what they think about you. Focus only on what God says about you. “that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24 NKJV) What does it mean to sit? It means that everything is finished, and you rest. Jesus has already done everything pertaining to your righteousness. Haters will hate. If they decide to hate you, they will hate you. There is something about growing and being big that makes haters hate. Assess things in the spirit, and not by sight. The Book of Ephesians: Chapters 1-3 - sit (wealth of the believer) Chapter 4-5 - walk Chapter 6 - stand (warfare) 
What does it mean to sit? It means that everything is finished, and you rest. Jesus has already done everything pertaining to your righteousness.
Keep saying that the "Battle is the Lord's". Keep resting in the Lord. The devil doesn't care about the believers who are lying and cheating in their businesses. The devil wants them to succeed because they are bad testimonies to the kingdom of God. The devil tries to attack those who are restful, who have joy in them, and those who carry the attitude of the royalty of heaven. Spiritual warfare takes place within you. We are standing on victory ground! We don't pray for victory, we pray from victory. We don't come to church to get close to God. We come to church because we are near to God! We don't pray to get close to God. We are brought close to God by the blood of Christ. We pray because we are close to God. The devil points at your feelings, emotions, thoughts and wants you to focus on them. But faith has got nothing to do with the experiential. Example: a young boy can be at the edge of the pool and look in, thinking that the water depth is shallow, but actually the pool could be deep and the boy could drown if he jumps in. We cannot go by our feelings. We have to go by our instrument - the word of God. God didn't mention anything about the giants to the children of Israel when speaking concerning the land of Canaan which was given to them. The children of Israel didn't mention God, but kept focusing on the giants, the problems and the obstacles. See things in God's perspective - God sees you overcoming the giants already, long before it happens. It's always better to stand on God's side! Joseph resisted the temptation to commit sexual immorality with Potiphar's wife, and he received the ability to interpret dreams which he never had before. Resisting sexual immorality makes your mind sharper than before. A man indulging in sexual immorality causes him to lose his strength. You need to say no to your children sometimes. That will give them the courage to say no their friends when they need to. I Peter 1:13-15 - Loins is the area around the sexual organs - God wants you to be careful of and watch what you see because your mind reproduces too. Don't allow bad seeds to be sown. More grace comes to you by getting a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ, not by doing more. “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,” (I Peter 1:13-15 NKJV) People are sinning because there is a lack of preaching of how forgiven and righteous believers already are in Christ. Deuteronomy 2:14 - The children of Israel wandered in the wilderness for 38 years. “And the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the Valley of the Zered was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the LORD had sworn to them.” (Deuteronomy 2:14 NKJV) John 5:5-9 - Bethesda means "House of Grace". People were waiting at the Pool of Bethesda to be healed. Under the Law, people had to wait for times, feasts, and seasons to receive their healing. Under grace, NOW is the time of salvation, healing, deliverance, etc. The Law assumes that you have the strength to keep the Law. But we know that we are not able to keep it. The sick man who had an infirmity for 38 years represents Israel. He was so close to his healing (he was by the Pool of Bethesda, not somewhere far away), but all the while he could not possess his possession. The sick man did not answer Jesus' question. The sick man was focusing on what he lacked. Jesus always gets to the point. It is Jesus who causes us to possess our possessions. Every word from Him is an empowerment for us. When He says "rise", you will rise! God wants you to walk. The more you walk, the more you possess your possessions. “Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.” (John 5:5-9 NKJV) Matthew 11:28-30 - "all you who labor" is talking about people who are laboring to please God. Our only labor should be to labor to be in rest. This rest is the rest for the conscience (from their sins), mind and emotions. This rest is to be found in Jesus. Proud people are not restful. Money does not make you secure. Money amplifies what you already are. Be meek and lowly in Christ. Security is found in Him. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV) If you are conscious of God's favor on you, your body will be blameless too. Galatians 5:16 - If you are really walking in the spirit, you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. You don't need to try to not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Just walk in the spirit! “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16 NKJV)

King Solomon surrounded himself with counselors. A sign that you received wisdom is that you become teachable. Ephesians 5:15-19 - Circumspectly means diligently and wisely. 2016 is not the year to take your protection for granted. Walk in rest, and in rest, you will walk. Don't be unwise - 2016 is the year to redeem back lost time! Wisdom is needed this year. “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,” (Ephesians 5:15-19 NKJV) Solomon asked God for a wise and hearing heart. Because Solomon asked for this, God gave him that and even what he did not ask for - riches and honor as well. Luke 2:52 - Pray every day for wisdom. This should be the first thing you pray for daily. Wisdom always comes first. It is the principal thing. It is possible to be smart and not be wise. There is a wisdom from above and wisdom from beneath - ask for the wisdom that is from God! Pray for this for your children: that they increase in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and men. “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Luke 2:52 NKJV) Deuteronomy 11:24 - A fresh rhema word that Pastor Prince received from God: Tell the people to physically walk more this year in 2016. The more they walk, the more they will possess their health and wholeness. Set aside a time, at least twice a week, for extended physical walking. P.S. Ladies can walk in the mall too! “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.” (Deuteronomy 11:24 NKJV) I Kings 4:29-34 - There is a wisdom of the world and the wisdom of God. Knowing a lot does not mean wisdom. The wisdom of God far surpasses the wisdom of the world. “And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men— than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.” (I Kings 4:29-34 NKJV) It's okay to have some entertainment in life, but don't over-indulge in them. Don't let entertainment (example that Pastor Prince gave: Korean drama) control your life and your marriage! I Kings 3:15 - When you receive God's wisdom, you will walk away from what is not good for you. “Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.” (I Kings 3:15 NKJV) Sometimes disappointments are appointments from God.
