11 October 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - God's Chastening That Leads You To Profit And Life!Look to the Lord for redemption when you take communion. Although everything on earth, even water, is fallen, stick closer to the original creation in the context of food and drink - it's healthier and better for you. Your trust must always be in the Lord, don't put your trust in man. Trust God, only He can put you in the right place at the right time. Ask Him to do that for you! Jeremiah 17:5-8 - To "see when good comes" means to experience good. The cursed man does not experience good. We who are believers in Jesus are blessed! “Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:5-8 NKJV) John 11:49-52 - Caiaphas said this and prophesied because he was high priest,(because of his position). Leaders of nations sometimes say things out of their mouths that are placed inside by God. “And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.” Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.” (John 11:49-52 NKJV) God will not leave you alone. Romans 4:5-10 - Paul is writing to the Jews here. "Accounted or imputed" is "Logizomai" in Greek which has got to do with reality. It does not deal with suppositions - it deals with facts. Jesus did not do any sin, therefore we did not do anything to receive our righteousness from Him - we receive it by faith in Him. God justifies the ungodly. The solid foundation for that is Jesus dying for our sins at the cross. God is righteous in making us righteous. He cannot punish us again because He has already punished Jesus for our sins (past, present and future) at the cross. "Shall not" is "umei" in Hebrew - it is a double-negative, a strong negation. God is giving us an iron-clad guarantee that He will never impute our sins to us. “But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.” Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised.” (Romans 4:5-10 NKJV) A story of the Lynch family in Galway. A commemorative plaque was given to a righteous judge there. Walter Lynch, his son, was guilty of murder. Being the righteous judge that he is, he sentenced his son to death. On the day of the execution, all the executioners disappeared. Nobody wanted to do it - to hang the judge's son. So the judge hung his own son by himself. God sent His own dearest Son, and His Son died on the cross. The One that passed the sentence on His Son is The Judge Himself. Peter, a man of action said that Jesus did no sin. John who was a man of the heart said that in Him was no sin. Jesus didn't have to die for us. If we slap God's hand away and say to Him "we don't need Jesus", then we deserve hell. Hell is not a figurative place. It is a real place. It's not a place of partying and drinking beer. You can't even see the person suffering next to you because of the darkness and all you can hear is screaming. That is what Jesus is saving you from! Light rejected becomes darkness intensified in you. The more you reject Jesus, the more hardened you become. Pastor Joseph Prince believes that the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 whereby Russia attacks Israel will happen after the Rapture. When the walls around Israel come down, and there is a period of false peace in the air, that's when the attack can happen. God hears every believer that prays. Pastor Prince says that some preachers that are coming against his messages are doing it because they are afraid that his teachings would affect their pockets and their church's resources. Pastor Prince hardly preaches on tithing. Pastor Joseph Prince believes that your tithes belong to your local church. For pastors: Preach the truth and God will honor you. Pastors are not mediators between their congregations and God. Every believer has a direct-line to God. Pastor Prince wants to be with us, pointing people to Jesus. John 19:25-27 - At the cross, Jesus looked through the corridors of time and saw that people would put Mary in-between people and Jesus. Mary is not a mediator for us to Jesus. Jesus said what He said not because He was being rude, but for our benefit, so that we would know that Mary was human who needs His salvation, just like us. “Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.” (John 19:25-27 NKJV) David is called the "man after God's heart" because he had the heart to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem.
At the cross, Jesus looked through the corridors of time and saw that people would put Mary in-between people and Jesus. Mary is not a mediator for us to Jesus. Jesus addressed her as "woman" not because He was being rude, but for our benefit, so that we would know that Mary was a mere human who needs His salvation, just like us.
Leviticus 20:24 - God made money to be like water. It has to flow. Be generous and start it flowing. Your money will grow from a stream, to a river, to an ocean! “But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples.” (Leviticus 20:24 NKJV) Hebrews 12:5-11 - Chastening is when God disciplines His people. God doesn't chasten with accidents, sickness or diseases. God doesn't impute sin to us but He will discipline us. Jacob deceived his father, pretending to be his brother Esau. Then, Jacob was deceived by Laban, marrying Leah instead of Rachel. This was before the Law was given. God disciplines us because He loves us. Is there a frustration in your marriage, your business, etc? God wants to deal with your character. God is the God of Jacob - He will deal with your character. God does not deal with your flesh, God deals with your spirit! God does not mind being misunderstood as long as His will of developing you and removing the dross from you is accomplished. When God disciplines us He does not 'take us home early', He disciplines us and we live! God disciplines us for our PROFIT! When we partake in "His holiness" it means that we relinquish our ability to produce our own holiness by our efforts in the areas that we are struggling in, but declare that Jesus is our holiness in that area of our lives. God's chastening may be uncomfortable and unpleasant, but be thankful to God for it. When you adopt this thankful attitude, you have fewer lessons to go through! “And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:5-11 NKJV) Don't blame your problems on God. Always justify God and blame ourselves. Attending church is being in the house of God. When you leave the place of God, you leave the place of abundance! There is bread in the house of God! Psalms 60:8 - Ruth came from Moab. Some people in our lives are "washpots" to deal with our character. “Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Philistia, shout in triumph because of Me.”” (Psalms 60:8 NKJV) Genesis 17:1-3 - When Abram had lost all humanly-strength and faith in his own ability to bear his own child, then God stepped in. Before this, Abram knew God as "Mighty God", but not yet as "Almighty God". We must place our trust in God, not in our own abilities. “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:” (Genesis 17:1-3 NKJV) If you want to be a leader, you be quick to accept responsibility for your faults. Thank God for revealing the weaknesses in you so that He can improve you.
