5 Life Lessons and Moral Value that I Learnt from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"

1) Great courage comes from within, not from outward appearances.

In the movie, a 'geeky' little boy that Spider-Man rescued courageously stepped up to face "The Rhino" in a makeshift Spidey-Suit. He recognised that the city needed a hero and he rose to the challenge. Truly we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Great things could come in small packages.

2) Give recognition where it is due. Some people would kill to be appreciated.

Max Dillon spent his entire life unappreciated and bullied by everyone around him. Spider-Man's act of kindness and recognition brought him so much joy. Max wouldn't have had so much anger trapped inside of him if people had appreciated him more. We should give credit and encourage those around us. People will work for a living, but would die for recognition.

3) Being financially-wealthy does not necessarily bring happiness in life, if other parts  of our lives are falling apart.

Although having just inherited the billion-dollar Oscorp empire from his father, Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn also inherited a rare hereditary and debilitating disease that was slowing causing his painful death. Living rich means having good health, wealth, love and having all our needs met in all areas of our lives, and not just money itself.

4) The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Sharing a common hatred for Spider-Man, Harry Osborn coerced the powerful and dangerous Electro (Max Dillon) to partner up with him to destroy Spider-Man. Although this isn't a very positive lesson to learn, it could prove useful when forming alliances at work or generally in life. Align yourself with those who share common goals as you and help them to achieve it. By doing so, you will achieve your own too.

5) Death comes unexpectedly, love and loss will happen. Till then, live and celebrate life with thankfulness and hope.

Gwen Stacy's death came as a shock to me because she was such a strong, brave heroine in her own right. Death is unpredictable, and while we are still alive, we should live day by day with thankfulness, and never take for granted those that we love and care for. Tell someone whom you love that you love them, today.
