22 February 2015 - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online Chinese New Year Service - Chinese New Year Service 2015 - Look Unto Jesus for Your RestorationWhen we lose something in our life, don't focus on what we lost, but focus on Jesus who is able to lengthen our life and provide for all our needs. God doesn't want us to look to men to restore. He is the Restorer. 1 Samuel 18:8-9 - When you look to man, you will lose your peace. We must remember that God can give us more than we need. "And Saul was very angry, for the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed only thousands. What more can he have but the kingdom? And Saul [jealously] eyed David from that day forward." (1 Samuel 18:8-9 AMP) Genesis 31:7 - God is watching over us and protecting. We must have a good opinion of God. "But your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me." (Genesis 31:7 AMP) Genesis 50:20 - God can turn all the bad things that have happened to us for our good. "As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day." (Genesis 50:20 AMP) "Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid. Do I act for God? Don’t you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people. Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I’ll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart." (Genesis 50:19-21 MSG) Don't nag at your children, especially once they are 18 years old. Cease from trying to discipline them through self-effort, but instead pray for them, especially by praying in tongues. God wants the body of Christ to be together, united as a family. Genesis 45:10-11 - God wants us to be close to Him and He wants to take care of us completely. God cares and provides for our descendants too. "You will live in the land of Goshen, and you will be close to me–you and your children and your grandchildren, your flocks, your herds, and all you have. And there I will sustain and provide for you, so that you and your household and all that are yours may not come to poverty and want, for there are yet five [more] years of [the scarcity, hunger, and starvation of] famine." (Genesis 45:10-11 AMP) Focus on imparting to your children how good God is, not just your material inheritance. We can't go back in time to change our past, but God can mend your past because He lives outside the confines of time. 2 Corinthians 3:18 - As we draw near to God through His word, we are transformed to become more and more like Jesus. "And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP) Don't look at the perfect storm, look at the Perfect Savior. Perfect love casts out fear. You may be financially-rich, and have many zeros in your bank balance, but without the One, Jesus, you still have nothing. Psalm 51:12 - David wanted restoration of his first love that he experienced with God when he was still a young shepherd boy - that joy, when he had nothing except for God's love. "Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit." (Psalm 51:12 AMP) Seek Jesus and you will have everything that you need. Psalm 69:4 - Jesus restores and He does it when we rest. When we work, He rests. When we rest, He works. "Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head; those who would cut me off and destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully, are many and mighty. I am [forced] to restore what I did not steal. [John 15:25.]" (Psalm 69:4 AMP) Guard our right believing (in our heart) above all things. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - We should speak what we believe and watch our words. Speak God's Word which is full of power, over our lives. "Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak," [Ps. 116:10.] (2 Corinthians 4:13 AMP) Romans 10:6 - We must have right-believing about the power and goodness of Jesus. "But the righteousness based on faith [imputed by God and bringing right relationship with Him] says, Do not say in your heart, Who will ascend into Heaven? that is, to bring Christ down;" (Romans 10:6 AMP) 2 Corinthians 10:5 - We are blessed not based on our obedience, it's based on Jesus's perfect obedience! "[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)," (2 Corinthians 10:5 AMP) Romans 5:19 - Those who are made righteous by faith through Jesus will surely be blessed! "For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him)." (Romans 5:19 AMP) Romans 1:5 - Obedience to the faith means believing right. "It is through Him that we have received grace (God's unmerited favor) and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name's sake among all the nations," (Romans 1:5 AMP) Romans 16:26 - Paul re-emphasises - Obedience to the faith means pursuing right-believing. "But is now disclosed and through the prophetic Scriptures is made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, [to win them] to obedience to the faith," (Romans 16:26 AMP) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "22 February 2015 - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online Chinese New Year Service - Chinese New Year Service 2015 - Look Unto Jesus for Your Restoration".
