People say that you are not successful today because you don’t know what to do. Actually it’s more to do with who you are.

You have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption which cries “Abba”.
Under the Law, the Jews had a slavish fear to God.
We are to have “the fear of the Lord” but that means a worshipful adoration of God.
We are sons of God.

God can give you an all-encompassing (in Greek: soteria). God is restoring your mental faculties.

Revelation 1:5-6 - As Prince of Peace, it shows that Jesus submits to God the Father.
As King of Kings, it shows that Jesus is sovereign.
Jesus knows you through and through and still loves you.
It all depends on who washes our sins—if Jesus washes, then our robes of righteousness shine brighter than the sun.
We are kings and priests to God, called to carry out God’s purposes here on earth.
Prophets represent God in declaring His words to man.
Priest is towards God—they come with prayers and gifts to God.
When we worship God, we are like a sweet-smelling odor to God.
In the Bible, you’ll never find a sickly priest. They are alwaysstrong and healthy.
There’s something about worshiping God that keeps you strong.
People who go to church live the longest. When you come to church, life is added to you.
A king carries out God’s assignment.

“and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood; and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

People with their puny brains are sitting in judgment against an all-knowing, all-powerful God.
They don’t even know how to govern their lives.

If you sin against your children, there are some consequences.
If you sin against your spouse, there are greater consequences—you sleep on the couch for the night and face a silent treatment.
If you sin against your boss (like embezzling company funds), there are even greater consequences.
If you sin against your nation (like attempting to assassinate the president), the consequence is death.
If you sin against God, the consequence is much more dire.
People who criticize God and say that He’s mean have no respect for the importance and greatness of God.

While we were sinners, Jesus died for us. You are loved!

Ecclesiastes 8:4 - Power is released when kings speak.
Adam had this power in theGarden of Eden. He spoke and had authority over all the creatures in the Garden.

“for the king’s word is supreme. Who can say to him, “What are you doing?”” ‭‭(Ecclesiastes‬ ‭8:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

We are all king-priests in Christ. We can reflect the moral excellencies of Jesus through the way we live. When the world tries to be moral, they do it outwardly—as long as they are not caught by the public. Jesus was morally excellent even in private. God wants this moral excellence to proceed from our mind and heart—not just an outwardly pretentious act.

God wants you to exude an air of princeliness in the way you live

Luke‬ ‭7:22-23‬ - When Jesus speaks, there is beauty—even in His correction.
When Jesus corrected John the Baptist through John’s disciples, He wrapped the correction in beautiful ribbons—it emitted a lovely fragrance to God.
John’s disciples couldn’t understand the rebuke—it was a private correction only for John to hear and understand.
What is the cure for unbelief? Tell people what you’ve seen and heard Jesus done.

“Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭7:22-23‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Peter 2:9 - Melchizedek typifies Christ. Melchizedek is both king and priest.
The part of His name, “Melchi”, means king in Hebrew.
King Uzziah tried to function as a priest and offer incense to God.
Despite the priests warning him not to, Uzziah defiantly persisted in sinning.
He was stricken with leprosy because God wanted to protect the glory of Jesus who would come as the true King-Priest.
Uzziah’s leprosy started from the head which is the worst kind of leprosy.
All sin starts from the head (thoughts).
We are all king-priests in Christ.
The word “excellence” refers to the moral excellencies of Jesus.
We can reflect the moral excellencies of Jesus through the way we live.
When the world tries to be moral, they do it outwardly—as long as they are not caught by the public.
Jesus was morally excellent even in private.
God wants this moral excellence to proceed from our mind and heart—not just an outwardly pretentious act.
Jesus chose to be born in one of the most lowly places possible.
Nazareth was a place with brothels and rowdy places—it was a crossroad for the continents.
Jesus was born in a smelly, dirty manger.
He had a choice where to be born—He could have chosen to be born in a palace.
It’s not just about being ethical or moral.
When Jesus helps and saves us, it’s not from a distance like a patron or benefactor.
He comes in close, down to where we are. He smells it and touches it.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” ‭‭(1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Obed-Edom’s household was blessed because of the Ark of the Covenant in his house.
When David went to receive the Ark of the Covenant from Obed-Edom’s house, Obed-Edom chose to follow David—He knew how to follow blessing.
When you come to the house of God, you are wisely following the blessing of God.

John 13:3-4 - Those who know their identity can afford to be humble.
Only those who are insecure can’t be humble.
Our part is to believe that God did all our part. It’s not an easy labor—the flesh prefers to do and earn its blessings.
God wants His people to be princely.
Princes are not petty people. They are joyful.
When natural princes are petty, mean and stingy, we lose respect for them.
You can’t hide a prince. It comes out in his attitude. People can sense a mint of royalty that exudes from him.
When you have a revelation that you are a prince or princess to God, you will live out who you are.
You can’t try to do in order to become. You must realize that you already are.
Rest in Jesus and out of that rest comes Spirit-directed activity.

“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God, and was going to God, arose from supper, and laid aside his outer garments. He took a towel, and wrapped a towel around his waist.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭13:3-4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

There is a saying that “no one is a hero to his valet”.
It’s like how Alfred sees all of Bruce Wayne’s flaws, while the public just sees the heroic Batman.
If you’re generous in public, be generous in private and at home as well—if not it’s just a pretense.
Jesus’ disciples didn’t even dare to ask Jesus questions—they were full of reverential awe and respect for Him.
They debated secretly among themselves who would be the greatest in the kingdom.

Only Identify yourself with Jesus

1 John 4:17 - As Jesus is princely at the Father’s right hand, so are we in this world.
This is an unqualified verse. You can take it and claim it even for healing and deliverance from addictions.
Just by beholding the Lord and identifying yourself with Jesus, the Holy Spirit will swallow up the flaw and you become like Jesus.

“In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.” ‭‭(1 John‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Chronicles 18:3 - Israel was split into two—Kingdom of Israel in the north and Kingdom of Judah in the south.
Jehoshaphat was a king of Judah. God has blessed him greatly.
Jehoshaphat got himself involved in a battle that was none of his business.
Jehoshaphat said “I am as you are”, identifying himself with Ahab, a wicked king of Israel.
The moment you identify with someone else, you will suffer the fate of the other person.

“Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me to Ramoth Gilead?” He answered him, “I am as you are, and my people as your people. We will be with you in the war.”” ‭‭(2 Chronicles‬ ‭18:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

2 Chronicles 18:31-32 - The king of Syria told his army to fight with no one but the king of Israel.
Ahab was very cunning—perhaps he heard the king of Syria’s plan and disguised himself, making Jehoshaphat bait—appearing to be the king of Israel.
Jehoshaphat cried out to Yahweh (the covenant-keeping God, showing a covenant relationship).
God had saved Jehoshaphat.
Elohim is Creator God, dealing from a distance with the nations.
If you are a businessperson, conduct your affairs with excellence, pay on time, be honest and transparent.
The world will persecute you for your faith.
But when you stand up for what you believe, the world will respect you for that, but they won’t tell you.
You are called for higher things. Remember who you are in Christ.
When your children mess up, don’t give them the Law. Identity is how you deal with your children.
Say “I know this is not you. The world may do things like this, but not you.”

“When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is the king of Israel!” Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and Yahweh helped him; and God moved them to depart from him. When the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.” ‭‭(2 Chronicles‬ ‭18:31-32‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Judges 8:18-19 - You resemble the son of a king because Jesus is your brother. You are born of the same stock.
When you enter an empty restaurant, customers soon come in.
You are a blessing no matter where you go.
Many believers don’t know the glorious light that emits from them.

“Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “What kind of men were they whom you killed at Tabor?” They answered, “They were like you. Each one resembled the children of a king.” He said, “They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As Yahweh lives, if you had saved them alive, I would not kill you.”” ‭‭(Judges‬ ‭8:18-19‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you’re a believer, you can’t enjoy sin without feeling extremely dirty and uncomfortable inside.
You’re not called to live in adultery. You’re a royal priest to God in Christ Jesus.
If you’re a single lady, don’t settle for a frog.
There are many frogs in a garden, but a prince is much more valuable.
Wait for God to send you a prince at the right time at the right place.

There was no other way to save us except for Jesus to die in our place.
Our sin against the God of the universe was so great that Jesus had to die for us.
