16 September 2018 - Surround your Problems to Possess your Inheritance - Pastor Lim Lian Neo Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed other songs before this)
Joshua 6:2 - Giving into your hand is not the same as possessing something. Joshua had to go in to possess Jericho. “And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” (Joshua 6:2 NKJV) Joshua 5:2 - Why is circumcision the key to possessing Jericho? To know, we must look at the first mention of circumcision. “At that time the LORD said to Joshua, “Make flint knives for yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second time.”” (Joshua 5:2 NKJV) Genesis 12:1-2, 4 - Abram at 75 years old was promised the land and a great nation. Just like Joshua, the land was given into his hand. “Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing... So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.” (Genesis 12:1-2, 4 NKJV) Genesis 17:9-11 - Abram was 99 years old here. Before Abram started to see the manifestation of the promises that God made to him when he was 75, God introduced the sign of circumcision. “And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.” (Genesis 17:9-11 NKJV)
