Happy Father’s Day! Fathers need and like to be appreciated.

Your children are watching and learning from what you do, more than from what you say.

As an earthly father, we have the privilege of being a physical manifestation of a father, to show our children the love of our Heavenly Father.

Pastor Joseph’s father had intentionally shown affection to his wife in front of Joseph and his siblings.
This sets an example for your children, teaching them to show affection to their spouse in the future.

Pastor Joseph’s father once gave him a ‘mercy spanking’. As a child, pastor was about to get caned, but his father stopped short of his backside, to demonstrate the Heavenly Father’s love and mercy towards us.
But his father only did that once in his life.
Your Heavenly Father loves you and has mercy on you — He doesn’t condemn you or punish you for your sins.

God can even use our mistakes and turn it around, to teach us about Himself.

If you are a father, apologize to your children if you make a mistake towards them.
Your job as a father is to demonstrate how the Heavenly Father is like.

John‬ ‭17:6‬ - The one name of God that Jesus came to reveal to the world, is “Father”.

“I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭17:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalms‬ ‭68:5 - If you are an orphan, God promises that He will be a Father to the fatherless.

“A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭68:5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you want to know how much your Heavenly Father loves you, then you need to know how much He loves Jesus. He gave up His Son, proving His love for you. Our Heavenly Father could have chosen not to sacrifice His Son. But He did it because He loves us.

​Your Abba Father will never be angry or irritated with you

Romans 8:15 - There has been a change in your status. God is now your Father.
This name “Father” is “Abba”, which is an equivalent to “Daddy”. A term of closeness and endearment.
If you need help, call out to your Abba Father.

“For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8:15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God wants you to see Him as a Daddy who loves you and who isn’t angry with you.

Matthew 7:11 - Your Daddy God desires to bless you abundantly.
God is generous and He wants to lavish His love upon you.
What are you asking Him about?
If you have a close relationship with Him, you will know that you can ask Him anything and He will give it to you.
Your Heavenly Father loves to answer your prayers — if it’s important to you, it’s important to your Heavenly Father.
He is concerned with the little details of your life.
When you ask your Heavenly Father, He never gets irritated with you. He loves to bless His children.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭7:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

You can ask God anything and He will give you wisdom and solutions to your problem.

The strategy of the enemy is to rob you of the consciousness of your Heavenly Father’s love.

Matthew 3:16-17 - Fathers, your children need to hear you speak — express your love and affirmation for your children.

“Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him. Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In the wilderness, the devil dropped the word “beloved”. He said to Jesus, “If you are the Son of God...”
You will overcome your wilderness seasons with the consciousness of your Heavenly Father’s love.

How much your Abba Father loves you is how much He loves Jesus

Romans 8:32 - If you want to know how much your Heavenly Father loves you, then you need to know how much He loves Jesus.
He gave up His Son, proving His love for you.
Our Heavenly Father could have chosen not to sacrifice His Son.
But He did it because He loves us.
If you are a father, you will understand that if you could do anything to take your son’s place in suffering, you would.
God the Father turned His back and allowed His wrath to fall upon His only begotten Son, out of necessity, so that He could spare us.
What is that breakthrough that you need? If He gave you Jesus, He will give you everything else that’s inferior to Jesus too.

“He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8:32‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I John 3:1 - We have been made children of God, demonstrating our Heavenly Father’s great love for us.

“See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.” ‭‭(1 John‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 1:12-13 - When you believe in Jesus, you become a child of God, and it is God’s will for you to become His child.

“But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭1:12-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)
