12 Apr 2020 - Sit and See your Enemies Defeated by God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

God will give you victory over your enemies—you only need to rest in your position in Christ. Your spirit man is seated with Him in Heaven, far above all principalities and powers. Don’t be afraid of lack—just see the supply by faith and walk with the Holy Spirit, one step at a time.

When there is a sermon in the Book of Acts recorded for us, the emphasis is on Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.

Jesus was not resurrected to die again like Lazarus or the widow’s son. He was raised in a new body, never to die again.

The Rapture refers to “harpazo” which is the snatching away of the church. It is a mystery revealed to the church.
In the twinkling of an eye, we will be changed and be caught up to meet our Lord Jesus in the air.
There will be no trace of sin in our new glorified bodies.

Paul said “those who are alive and remain” twice. It is one thing to be alive, and another to remain.
To remain denotes power.
In the last days, the church will have the revelation that they can remain alive until Jesus’ return.

Elderly Simeon in the temple was promised that he would not see death until his eyes see the appearing of Israel’s salvation (Yeshua).

“So much the more as you see the Day approaching” means that this coronavirus pandemic will end and we will be able to gather physically to worship God as a church again before Jesus’ return.

Matthew 24:36-39 - This passage implies the idea of crowds and gatherings before Jesus returns for His church.
This means that the coronavirus pandemic will end.
Pastor Prince believes that this passage cannot be referring to the Second Coming of Christ because once the Tribulation begins, you can count 7 years to predict when Jesus will return again. So this passage is talking about the Rapture.

“But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. “As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew‬ ‭24:36-39‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God has released a new ‘strain’ of anointing and healing for His people.
The devil released the coronavirus as a counterattack—the devil tries to play catch up to what God does.
As a spirit being, the devil can see what God is doing, but he doesn’t know the future.

Anything that is visible and tangible is temporal. With God, the things that are invisible are eternal.
God’s spiritual blessings produces that which is material and temporal.

Psalms 91:1-2 - The word “dwells” comes from the Hebrew word “yeshav” which means to sit.
You cannot remove yourself from the secret place of the Most High, because the secret place is being in Christ Jesus.
You are seated with Christ in the heavenly places.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”” (Psalms‬ ‭91:1-2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 2:4-7 - You have a special interest in Jesus’ resurrection, because what happened to Him also happened to you.
Your history in Christ begins at the cross. Your “old man” was crucified there with Him.
To your experience, the old man seems to be still here, but to God and faith, it is gone.
We have been raised far above all principalities and powers, including the coronavirus.
Our identity is in Christ Jesus. For God to remove us from Christ is to remove Christ Himself—it’s impossible that this will happen.
Jesus is our righteousness. He is the measure of our righteousness.
Grace is not just a dispensation. Grace will continue forever.
There is a “show” coming and you’ve never seen any show like it before.
God will present the riches of His grace to us in the ages to come.
God doesn’t want you to just mentally know that you’re seated with Christ.
“Use” the secret place of the Most High by actively resting in Christ and believing that you’re seated far above all principalities and powers.
How can we be seated with Christ now if we are still here on earth? God is outside of time and space.
That’s why Jesus could die for the sins of the world throughout time. The cross is outside time.
Your spirit man is now seated outside of time, with Christ in the heavenly places.
We are tripartite beings—spirit, soul and body.

“But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;” (Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-7‬ ‭WEB)

When a believer dies, it’s not really death but “falling asleep”.
He steps out of his body immediately, being more alive than before since the encumbrance of his sinful flesh is gone.

Proverbs 18:14 - A Jewish rabbi, Yonatan Ben Uzziel translated the oral law—the books of the prophets Malachi, Zechariah and Haggai.
In the first century AD, he translated the word “sickness” in the verse below as “coronei” in Aramaic which is also corona/crown.
The word sustain in Hebrew is “cul” which means to protect or defend.
A man’s spirit will protect him from “corona”.
This is prophetic of our times. When you rest in Christ, that's faith, and you're protected from the coronavirus.
Our spirit man is seated with Christ in heavenly places.
God wants us to rise up higher and see from His perspective.
You’re seated with Christ, so Abba God is just on your left hand.
Pray knowing that God is so close to you.
You don’t have to ‘bombard the gates of Heaven’ with your prayers because you’re not outside Heaven.

“A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?” (Proverbs‬ ‭18:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Actively see yourself seated with Christ. When you rest, God works to make your enemies your footstool.

The responsibilities of Grace are not about becoming what you are not. It’s about becoming what you already are.
You are already complete in Christ. Now we only need to walk out that completeness by Grace through faith.

The responsibilities of legalism is about trying to become what you are not. But Grace says, let us become what we already are in Christ.
Walk out that completeness like the prince that you are.

1 Corinthians 15:25-26 - it may feel like COVID-19 is reigning in the world, but it will be put under Jesus’ feet.
The only enemy that will remain when Jesus returns, is death.
With each passing year, more enemies are being put under Jesus’ feet.

“For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:25-26‬ ‭WEB)

Psalms 110:1 - Jesus is greater than David.
When you rest in Christ, God makes all your enemies your footstool.
Rest is not irresponsible. When you rest inwardly, the Holy Spirit’s promptings in your spirit will become clearer to you.
Rest is not inactivity—it is Spirit-directed activity.
The temple represents us: The Holy of Holies is our spirit. The Holy Place is our soul. The Outer Court is our body.
The Outer Court is the busiest place. But there is perfect quietness in the Holy of Holies.
Be at rest (seated) inwardly in your spirit, even if you’re busy outside.
Have the “throne attitude”: sit down and let God defeat your enemies. The battle is the Lord’s. He will make your enemies your footstool.
If you don’t realize it, you can’t walk in this truth.

“Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”” (Psalms‬ ‭110:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The theme of the year is “the Year of Time and Space”. Who would have thought that time would seem to move so slowly this year and space would seem to be so constructed this year?
In Jesus’ first two miracles, He compressed time and transcended space.
Spiritually, God is bringing us to a higher space, in a short time.

The side chambers of the temple of Solomon are where the priests lived in back then.
There are three floors in the chamber. Each successive floor gets broader and broader (5 cubits, 6 cubits, then 7 cubits)—ever increasing.
First floor: the storage place of the grain, wine and oil.
The grain and wine form a picture of the Holy Communion.
They are also a picture of the firstborn blessing.
On his deathbed, Isaac blessed Jacob with “plenty of grain and wine”.
It may seem like space is constricted, but online services happening all over the world now have enabled more people to tune in to God’s preached word than ever before.

1 Kings 6:7-8 - The priests went up to the second floor and third floor by the winding stairs.
On a winding staircase, you gain the maximum height, in the shortest amount of time.
Don’t worry about where the coronavirus came from. Don’t worry about the future of how or when the pandemic is going to end.
Jesus told us to live one day at a time. God’s Grace is given fresh, day by day.
You can’t see the end of the winding stairs, but you’re going higher and higher as led by the Holy Spirit, one step at a time.
Before you know it, you’re there at a higher place.

“The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction. The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.” (1 Kings‬ ‭6:7-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Talmud has a prophecy that just before the Messiah returns, the first Passover will be repeated. We saw that happen a few days ago.
Because of the lockdown, teenagers weren’t gathered at cinemas. They were at home during Passover, probably celebrating the feast at home with their families.

Mark 14:14-15 - You can enjoy rest through the work of another—our Lord Jesus Christ.
Everything you need has been prepared for you. By your eyes of faith, see the supply.
Your God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We are living in a time whereby we have to trust God to supply us supernaturally.
Before Jesus miraculously multiplied the loaves and fishes, He made the multitudes sit down and rest first.
We need to actively sit down in the secret place of the Most High—position before provision.
Our Good Shepherd makes us lie down in green pastures.

“and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’ He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.”” (Mark‬ ‭14:14-15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Galatians 5:25 - Follow the Holy Spirit to walk step by step.
Every pastor nowadays has to preach by faith, not based on his congregation.

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

The uppermost floor of the side chamber is where the gold, silver and tithes are kept.

There is a truth in Israel whereby things that comes from the north are evil. The north wind brings blight. The enemies of Israel like Assyria, come from the north. North is picture of adversity.

In the temple of Solomon, the table of showbread faces the north. The table of showbread is also a picture of the Holy Communion.
When you’re facing adversity, partake of the Holy Communion.

Healing is a grace gift (charismata)—it is an unearned, undeserved, unmerited favor of God.

Pastor Prince released words of knowledge about gifts of healing in operation: healing of cancer, glaucoma, kidney problems, partial or complete blindness of the eyes.

Romans 4:25 - You are declared righteous because Christ was delivered up for our sins at the cross. If Jesus’ work was not perfect, He would not have been raised from the dead.
Jesus was raised from the dead without our sins, and is now seated far above all principalities and powers.
Our sins are gone forever.

“who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.” (Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭WEB)

I highly recommend purchasing Pastor Prince's sermons on his mobile app "Joseph Prince" on Apple App Store or Google Play Store even after you read these notes as I may have missed out something he shared and the overall experience is definitely different when you listen to him preaching directly!

Dear Milton Goh brother,

Happy Easter Sunday to you and your family members.

The weekly sermon notes that you are posting are very encouraging to me and making me to go towards good direction, step by step. Sometimes, I am getting angry on me and others because I want to quit my bad habits because they are long term addictions. I am talking to our Lord Jesus to subsidize my anger and move towards good steps for me. Everything will happen step by step for good for me. Our Lord Jesus is a good God, I am His child, He will lead to me good paths, step by step.

In the midst of my depression, constipation and insomnia problem for me, I am getting prayer supports and help from https://www.facebook.com/ brothers and sisters and I am able to live.

Our Lord Jesus is a good God and He will bless me.
