There are certain things you can do that shortens your life and other things you can do that lengthens your life. 
The Fear of the Lord prolongs days. 
Honor your father and mother and you will live long on the earth. 

Before God saw, God spoke. He didn’t say what was (the darkness), He spoke what He wanted to see. 
God spoke and then He saw that it was good. 
Speak life if you want to be healthy. 
You want to see good? Call it first. 

There are things that are invisible that you cannot see. For example, healing is invisible.
Have this thought: what is invisible is eternal. If you can see it right now, it’s temporal.
Even your body is temporal. We will receive a new glorified body when the Rapture happens. 

The entrance of God’s word gives light. In David’s words: In your light, we see light. 
You will know how to deal with your situation as you allow God’s word into your heart. 

The world experiences sunlight (natural light). 
God created the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night.
Jesus said “As long as I’m in the world, I am the light of the world.” The sun represents Jesus.
The moon represents the church, in terms of God’s prophetic seasons.

The Holy Place in the Tabernacle has no windows so there’s no sunlight.
There’s only light from the candelabra (lamp-stand) — the heavenly light that gives revelation of God’s word.
If you go deeper into the Tabernacle into the Holy of Holies, that’s the greatest light in there — the light of God Himself.

As Jesus is, so are you in this world. 
Only Jesus can satisfy your heart. When you see Jesus healthy, the Holy Spirit goes to work and makes you healthy like Him. 
When you see Jesus never lacking in the Gospels, the Holy Spirit makes you provided for as well. 
Rich doesn’t mean filthy rich — it means having no lack — there’s always supply to meet every need. 

Why did God prevent Cleopas and the other disciple from recognizing Jesus on the Road to Emmaus?
It is more important to see Jesus in the Scriptures than in person. That gives everyone equal opportunity to see Jesus. 

Jacob blessed his twelve sons with prophetic blessings. In this sermon and the previous, we will look at the meanings of the blessings!

Jesus wants to bless you practically too -- in all areas: body, soul and spirit

​Genesis 49:1 - This sermon is a continuation of the previous sermon about the blessings on the twelve tribes of Israel. 

“Jacob called to his sons, and said: “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.” (Genesis 49:1 WEB)

The number 12 represents government. 
Jairus’ daughter (12 years old) represents Israel and the woman with the issue of blood (suffering for 12 years) represents the church. 
It was the faith of the woman with the issue of blood that made her well. 
That woman had to be healed first before Jairus’ daughter could be raised from the dead. 
Whose case (in the natural) was more urgent for Jesus to attend to first? Jairus’ daughter or the woman with the issue of blood? 
By right Jairus’ daughter because she was dying. The woman had been suffering for 12 years, she can afford to wait 1 more day for healing right? 
Pastor Prince will continue teaching about this in a future message.

10 or 11 of Jesus’ apostles came from Galilee. Only Judas Iscariot did not.

Acts 1:9-11 - Jesus was about to ascend to heaven here. 
Jesus ascended from Bethany — it was like a home away from home for Him. 
The Gospel of Luke opens up with a dumb priest (Zacharias came out from the temple mute and unable to speak).  
God had to stop Zacharias from speaking because if he spoke against it, it would cancel God’s purpose (bringing John the Baptist into the world) in his life. 
Sometimes it’s better that we don’t speak, if what we speak is going to thwart God’s plans for our future. 
The power of life and death is in the tongue. 
The devil has programmed death into the language of men. Don’t speak death, speak life. 
At times we can speak death, but only to the things we don’t want: pimples, cancer etc. Use the name of Jesus. 
The Gospel of Luke ends with a High Priest — our Lord Jesus blessing His people as He was parted from them into heaven. 
It was such a special occasion that it would warrant Michael and Gabriel to be there. 
There was one more archangel created, but he fell: Lucifer. 
God works in threes — they were created as worship archangels, not warring archangels.
In the beginning when God made the angels there was no war to be fought — the 3 archangels were created to worship Him.
When the Rapture happens, you will see the same Jesus described in this passage. 
Read both books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians — it clearly describes the Rapture.
In an “atomic second” (in the Greek), we who believe will all be changed and receive a new glorified body. 
Your new body will not have blood, but it will have the resurrection life of Christ flowing within. 
When believers’ bodies expire, they are not dead. They are asleep. They are actually more alive than us. 
God did not create man to die. Jesus took death upon Himself so that we could have life. 
Death is an enemy to God. That’s why Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb — He knew that man wasn’t created to die. 
What man lost through creation, we received a greater restoration through redemption. 
Jesus is coming back bodily, just like He ascended bodily.
All the prophesies in the Old Testament have been fulfilled except for the Millennial ones. The Rapture can happen at anytime! 

“When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”” (Acts 1:9-11 WEB)

John 21 - The Lord is very practical — He wants to meet our needs: in body, soul and spirit.
The disciples were disappointed, they went back fishing, but their business was failing (they caught nothing), they were cold, and at this time Jesus showed Himself to them. 
He didn’t rebuke them for not actively doing their job as fishers of men. 
Instead, He prepared a warm fire for them and made breakfast. 
Then He restored Peter and gave him a great responsibility to feed His sheep.
How to feed? Through the mouth: preaching and teaching the Gospel. 

“After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way. Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I’m going fishing.” They told him, “We are also coming with you.” They immediately went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing. But when day had already come, Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples didn’t know that it was Jesus. Jesus therefore said to them, “Children, have you anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” They cast it therefore, and now they weren’t able to draw it in for the multitude of fish. That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea. But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish. So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.” Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net wasn’t torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” None of the disciples dared inquire of him, “Who are you?” knowing that it was the Lord. Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise. This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead.” (John 21:1-14 WEB)

The Blessings on the Tribes of Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun and Benjamin

Genesis 49:3-4 - In Jacob’s days there were concubines but today they are porcupines. They will be thorns in your side — don’t even think about it. 
Reuben committed adultery with Jacob’s concubine Bilhah, and he forsook his rights as the firstborn son. 
The leadership was given to the tribe of Judah and the double portion of inheritance was given to Joseph: the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. 
The tribe of Reuben didn’t want to cross over the Jordan River to enter the Promised Land. 
God wanted them to enter but Reuben didn’t want to because they had great flocks. 
They represent Christians who are “world-bordering” — they want to be as close to the world as possible, but this is not the place of protection. 
When the Assyrians came, the tribes that didn’t cross over the Jordan River were captured first. 
No well-known priest, warrior, or king came from the tribe of Reuben.
But there was 1 infamous person who came from Reuben: Judas Iscariot came from the tribe of Reuben. 
Judas came from the city of Cariot which is in the region of the tribe of Reuben. 

““Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength; excelling in dignity, and excelling in power. Boiling over like water, you shall not excel; because you went up to your father’s bed, then defiled it. He went up to my couch.” (Genesis 49:3-4 WEB)

Simeon and Levi killed the men of Shechem while they were weakened by circumcision.
They did this because the son of the ruler of Shechem raped their little sister Dinah. 
They represent Christians that are known by their anger. 

““Simeon and Levi are brothers. Their swords are weapons of violence. My soul, don’t come into their council. My glory, don’t be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. In their self-will they hamstrung cattle. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel. I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.” (Genesis 49:5-7 WEB)

Genesis 49:8-12 - David is from the tribe of Judah. Jesus is from the tribe of Judah.
The name Judah means praise. 
When the children of Israel march from place to place, the name of the leader that goes in front is “Nashon” who is from the tribe of Judah.
When you praise the Lord, the devil cannot handle a praising Christian. 
The King of Judah, Jehoshaphat, was outnumbered by armies of his enemies but he still kept his eyes on the Lord.
Jehoshaphat set worshippers before his army and all they did was praise the Lord. 
Their enemies were confused and killed each other. They spent days taking up spoils.
That place became known as the Valley of Blessing (Barakah). 
No Jew today can trace their lineage to see if they have a claim to the throne of Israel — all ancestral and genealogical records were burnt and destroyed by the invading Roman armies in AD 70. 
The only record left is the Bible. Jesus will return to set up His kingdom here on earth. 
In Jesus’s First Coming, He entered Jerusalem humbly and gently seated on a donkey. 
Horses are hardworking and obedient, but donkeys are stubborn — they will rebel and they march at their own beat. 
Vines don’t have trunks. Can you really tie a donkey to a vine? 
It’s only through Jesus that a stubborn donkey will willingly be bound to a vine — it is a picture of the peace in the Millennial Reign of Christ. 
Food is good but gluttony is sin.

““Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies. Your father’s sons will bow down before you. Judah is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down, he crouched as a lion, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be. Binding his foal to the vine, his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; he has washed his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes. His eyes will be red with wine, his teeth white with milk.” (Genesis 49:8-12 WEB)

Genesis 49:13 - The 5th son is not Zebulun. It’s actually another son. Why did Jacob mention Zebulun first, when he had been blessing his previous 4 sons in order of their birth? 
Zebulun means “dwelling”. Nazareth (the birthplace of Jesus) is located in the region of Zebulun.  
Jesus dwelled in Nazareth for 30 years. 
God put Zebulun’s name first because in everything His Son has preeminence. 

““Zebulun will dwell at the haven of the sea. He will be for a haven of ships. His border will be on Sidon.” (Genesis 49:13 WEB)

Matthew 4:13-16 - Jesus loves to let His light shine in the darkest and hardest places. 
Only those who fail qualify for God’s trespass offering. You will receive 120% restoration for your losses.

“Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.”” (Matthew 4:13-16 WEB)

Josephus was a Jewish military officer who was captured by the Romans and became their historian.
If you want to read about AD 70 in detail, you can read his writings, such as “The Works of Josephus”.

The Promised Land flows with milk and honey.
The name of the land is “Canaan” which means merchandise/business. 
It’s as if God is saying to us, “Possess the business world.”
You need to prosper so that you have a greater influence to shine for Jesus. 
Take the land of Canaan — it’s yours. 
Pastor Prince feels that schools need to teach economics differently — more likeRobert Kiyosaki's “Rich DadPoor Dad” style — teaching students to be wise with handling their finances so that they can prosper. 

Genesis 49:27 - This is a prophecy about the Apostle Paul who is from the tribe of Benjamin.

““Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he will devour the prey. At evening he will divide the plunder.”” (Genesis 49:27 WEB)

Acts 26:6-18 - Paul devoured the prey in the morning of his life — he persecuted believers, even to foreign cities.
In the evening of his life, Paul divided the spoils of the Gospel of Grace — He taught the treasures of Jesus to the early churches and we have his letters today which make up most of the New Testament. 

“Now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers, which our twelve tribes, earnestly serving night and day, hope to attain. Concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa! Why is it judged incredible with you, if God does raise the dead? “I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. This I also did in Jerusalem. I both shut up many of the saints in prisons, having received authority from the chief priests, and when they were put to death I gave my vote against them. Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities. “Whereupon as I traveled to Damascus with the authority and commission from the chief priests, at noon, O king, I saw on the way a light from the sky, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me. When we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ “I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen, and of the things which I will reveal to you; delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you, to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’” (Acts 26:6-18 WEB)

Pastor Prince’s Closing Prayer:
He reminded us not to take protection for granted. He prayed for our protection from all evil. 
He also prayed for us to enjoy God’s favor and receive a deeper revelation of Jesus in God’s word. 
He prayed for us to receive wisdom and vision to know the God-given purpose for which we were born. ​
