24 April 2022 - Lay Hold Of Your God Purpose - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian Neo Sermon Notes

New Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian preached an anointed sermon, encouraging all who went through a night season, that they are entering a season of pressing on and laying hold of God’s blessings and His purpose in their lives. There is a divine reset taking place now!

Philippians 3:12-13 - The Lord says there is much more to lay hold of.

“Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,” (Philippians‬ ‭3:12-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Lord says, “Today there will be a divine reset. Today is the day you will lay hold of God’s promises.”

If you have experienced a night season, you are entering a season of laying hold of God’s blessings.

The first step to lay hold is to let go of all the former things of the past you are holding on to. Let go and let God.

Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember in Hebrew is “zakar” which means to be mindful. Do not allow bad thoughts to fester in your mind.
God will bring you out of the wilderness and refresh you.

““Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah‬ ‭43:18-19‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

One drop of God’s favor is better than ten years of human labor.

See God’s supply coming into your finances. See His strength supplied into the area of your weakness.

Philippians 4:8 - Implant good thoughts in your mind and focus on them. The best thoughts are God’s words in the Scriptures.

“Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.” (Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Press on and lay hold of your God-given purpose

Instead of obsessing over why something bad happened, just focus on receiving God’s restoration. If you do not understand why the bad things happened, it is okay. Let go and receive the double restoration.

“Press on” means to move forward. Some people are experiencing paralysis by over-analysis.

Today you will lay hold of your God-given purpose.

Not everyone will be famous. It is not about fame. It is about serving the Lord. Your rewards in Heaven will be great.

Serve in a ministry in church. Lay hold of your God-given purpose. Two important days: the day you were born and the day you found out why you were born.

John 17:3 - It is impossible to know Jesus and not be blessed. Knowing Jesus and being blessed are synonymous.

“This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John‬ ‭17:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Press on to your God purpose and lay hold of it.

“He is not a fool who lets go of what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.”

Joshua 6:1-5 - Jericho was tightly shut up. See the Ark (representing Jesus) going before you. Hear the ram’s horn being sounded (Christ-centered Gospel preaching). Seven times represents the perfect, complete payment of Jesus’ blood at the cross. It is finished.

“Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the children of Israel. No one went out, and no one came in. Yahweh said to Joshua, “Behold, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and the mighty men of valor. All of your men of war shall march around the city, going around the city once. You shall do this six days. Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. On the seventh day, you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. It shall be that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the city wall shall fall down flat, and the people shall go up, every man straight in front of him.”” (Joshua‬ ‭6:1-5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Revelation 1:5 - Jesus washed us with His own blood. He loves us so much.

“and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood;” (Revelation‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I found some notes from Pastor Lim Lian Neo's sermon at New Creation Church on April 24th, 2022. The title is "Lay Hold Of Your God Purpose." It looks like Pastor Neo preached a message of encouragement, especially for those who have been going through difficult times. The sermon focused on the idea of a "divine reset" and entering a new season of purpose and blessing. It also mentioned letting go of the past to move forward in faith.
